The First 10 Minutes: Eternal Sonata

The First 10 Minutes: Eternal Sonata

Atari and Namco Bandai released the Xbox 360 version of Eternal Sonata almost 14 months ago, and the Playstation 3 version will finally be available this week in Europe. The new package includes several enhancements of an already good game, so see inside for images, videos and some impressions.

The PS3 owners will finally get to play this awesome game! Better late than never eh? Ending's kinda weird though... hehe

Hey, anyone seen this? http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/unskip...

Pretty hilarious MST3000 version of the first cutscene in the game, with the mom and girl, hehe...

Unskippable is not funny. It's one of those things I can't help placing my hand on my forehead when I hear it. Not only that, but their voices aren't good for speaking in audio only projects.

the game still has some very nice visuals, and I do enjoy my jrpgs..sadly I just don't this is for me, mainly because of the cutesy design and the narrative direction that I suspect it takes

I think unskippable is funny and if you hate kids in jRPG don't play this game...

It's coming out late in Europe; came out last year in the JP and the States. Also, I believe they added alternate endings to the PS3 version, so it may be EVEN MORE weirder.

Its kind of charming and well made but not really my genre...also not really into the whole "big eyes" anime characters, still looks like a well made game and its nice that the PS3 version has been enhanced instead of downgraded...

There are much worse offenders than this game for that, Lost Odyssey and Infinite undiscovery being the main ones.

The game is beautiful one of the best examples of cel shading in a game but the story, animation and gameplay are all subpar sadly.

I don't think you can just say something is not funny, like a statement. 'Funny' is all subjective. To me, it's very funny, they point a lot of weird and awkward things out.

I think its pretty unfunny, in the way that they seem to comment in a "bitchy" way rather than in a fun way, they dont even laugh ;o Boring.

Omg................ That girl...
First she said "Bohoo, there are so many people living in Whatsthename, why wont anyone buy from me?".
Then the squirrel came and turned back, and she said "I see, i guess you dont want to be touched by me either.. *sadface*"

O_o Am i the only one seeing the sick connection there? Wow.. Really, wow.

Ill differ with LO. There are 2 kids in the game, but they are strangely mature (Most of the time) unlike the super weird shit that goes on in ES, plus most of the characters look like kids anyway...the game was enjoyable, but the whole thing felt so preachy, i felt like i was constantly being talked to instead of involved in some sort of scenario..i know its an RPG and all, but i dont get that sort of feeling with other RPG's like Lost Odyssey. The ending also was weird, and quite honestly boring as hell.
