The first 10 minutes: Genji Days of the Blade

The first 10 minutes: Genji Days of the Blade

I've managed to keep my PS3 running long enough yesterday to record a video of Genji: Days of the Blade, a very good looking game, but not really an interesting one to play. And yes, I had almost no idea about what to do when recording, as I did not train at all.

I love Genji, and although its pretty much just a port from ps2 to ps3, I think it still looks GREAT! all this BlTCHING about it not looking next gen, SO WHAT?? does my head in!

Oh no, no one said it didn't look next gen. It just doesn't play very well...apparently. It's one of the most beautiful games made, but unfotuately it doesn't play well. ONIMUSHA FTW.

I loved the original very much and I will be getting this when I can afford a PS3. It looks really good.

The only thing really wrong with the game is the horrible camera angles. Otherwise, it's a decently good game. The bad scores are because the game isn't "enough next-gen", and I'm pretty sure the horrible E3 presentation has some reviewers negatively biased against this game already in advance, so they don't really even give it a chance.

The same applies to Untold Legends, which is a good hack 'n slash, but it's not big enough a leap from games such as Champions of Norrath & Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance to be held as a truly next-gen game.

Still, fans of these genres will quite likely enjoy both of these games, if they're not expecting to find the depth of Devil May Cry from them.

EDIT: And btw, are you, BlimBlim, having some sort of problems with your PS3? You start every "The first 10 minutes of game X" with "I managed to get the PS3 running for more than X minutes".

Looked pretty good from that vid, although most of it was pre ren (which was lush looking nonetheless)

Onimusha was damn sweet! So do I hope for a new one on the PS3 (which I'm sure of that there will be a new one).

I hope your Ps3 won't die, Blim. As you know, some consoles on release day could have child-diseases.
