American media just had the opportunity to discover Electronic Arts' The Simpsons Game, since the publisher organized a conference in the USA yesterday to showcase it to the Press. Planned to be released on almost every platform known in this side of the universe, handheld included, the game will offer an action-aventure experience through sixteen levels, each one offering a unique set-up and scenario. All the members of the Simpson family will be playable (a pair per level), and you'll be able to play in co-op mode with a friend in split-screen. Oh, and some images of the event have managed to leak through the big interwebs, so here they are.

Doesn't look amazing, and does't look like particularly good gameplay but they have done very well at making it look just like an episode of the simpsons, which i assume they intended to do.

Whaaaa??? Gameplay from 3 pictures? .... Plus the game looks just like the cartoon, in my book thats great.

Looks like fun actually, the cell shaded games have become looking really realistic too these days. It will def include the simpsons style of humor which is great IN MY BOOK too. And lets not judge the gameplay till now its too early its just a platform game.

Wow. I love the Simpsons, but seeing that EA is doing this game I will really not buy this than.

It reminds me of the simpsons arcade game, hopefully the adventure part doesn't screw it up.. and it only has 2 players... but I'm not disappointed, Simpsons in HD!

graphics are pretty good, and look a lot like the cartoon. but so did the family guy game and that tuned out to be pretty poor. rehashing old jokes from the show. i hope its more then just shallow mini games and gameplay. this would be great if it worked like conkers bad fur day (another game that spoofed on other films etc) but the chances of it being even romotely as good are slim.

um...fanboy. and yes looks like it will be spoofing other games. you can almost tell the type of gameplay this game will have just fro mthose screens anyway. sure theres no way of telling for sure but i cant see this game being a massive hit.
