Looks kind of like Fable, but with nice graphics and tech. Is this a straight RPG or more of a button masher?

I hope the console peasant's version doesn't gimp the master race's version.

Miss for me sadly, love the concept, love the story, love the graphics, hate the control system, enjoy too much the combat of games like Gothic/Risen/Oblivion where I do all the fighting myself directly rather than clicking on enemies and seeing magical numbers calculate how much damage I did.

You should've checked the first one out since this game has not the WoW fighting mechanics you are talking about. Instead you use the mouse to click in different sequences to do different attacks.. It's a bit in between the Oblivion and WoW styles..

Anyone else find this amusingly fascist out of context? hah

I'd like to give it a go, though it does have a sort of spectating combat system look to it.

When the first game came out I would say it was Game of the Year for that year.
Now I just have to decide which system to buy it for but probably I'll stick with Pee See

Check out the new Dev Diary on the official site. They might be changing the combat a bit so that might be a good thing

wowzer, that is a nice jump graphically over the first!! Ill have to complete the first at some point.

Anyway, I am watching this ones progress with relish. Hope they change the attire of many of the characters, and also character interactions. Most of the women were dressed like cheap prostitutes...made it difficult to take the game seriously...

Yeah,I hope they do not cancel this one like they did it with the first one !
Like the feel and atmosphere of what I saw so far ! Hope it gets good ,and I wouldn't mind a bit of an action approach for the battle system ! Like a good hack'n Slay !

Really looking forward to this one. Loved the first game. Had some issues, like the latter half being very linear and it lost focus in some chapters. But overall it was a great experience. I hope they stick to their guns and make the game they want to make, not compromise half of it so it can be sold off as DLC later. I

I'm getting the PC version though. These games never seem to work out well on console. Should have gotten Dragon Age for PC as well, but alas, my PC is kind of weak right now :<

I did follow the first one avidly until I discovered how the combat works, I really cannot stand that type unfortunately, same with Dragon Age Origins, lost interest as soon as I learned it was the point and click style combat, as I mentioned I like RPGs where the combat is all controlled by me, I want to swing the axe/sword, pull back the bowstring and aim the arrow, move my shield to block, etc. etc. :)

Grimbarian: Basically, you want all games to be the same. Either you shoot yourself or you swing something yourself...

Personally I like the pace and strategy aspect that comes with a non-realtime combat system... but that's me.

But then I like variation..
