I've only played the demo of Tiger Woods '06 but these look pretty poor compared to that. I wonder if the difficulty of developing it for the PS3 as well this time means less time to make it look good?
You might recognize some of the images as old ones, but that's just because they are captured in the same sets as the old images.

Difficulty of developing on PS3 shouldn't have anything to do with graphics that bad. If anything, EA will have had access to PS3 hardware before most third party developers.
Im shocked, as many others have said these shots look horrible. Im thinking they look like a poor quality PS2 game. I have 06 and it looks a lot better then this, considering that is a port this is just unacceptable.
The game still looks appalling. Get rid of the rigid 3D spectators, you were better off with cardboard crowds.
Congratulations to the marketing boys and girls at EA who obviously know nothing about video games; you don't release beta screenshots to the press. You have to wait *after* the game is done.
It's because EA is motivated solely by pie charts and quarterly reports. I might be wrong, but from what I see they have lost all love for the art of crafting video games. It's just sequels after sequels after sequels.
They need to take a good two year break from their main franchises and take the time to craft something exceptional. The marketing people will freak out because sales will go down by an alarming 0.5% but at least it'll give the production teams time to create truly fantastic and polished products.

Tiger Woods has gone so downhill. The best one was Tiger Woods 2004, followed by 2005, followed by 2006 on the Xbox1, followed by the disgrace we call Tiger Woods 2006 on the Xbox360.
It looks like the trend will follow and that Tiger Woods 2007 will be worse. It's a shame because Tiger Woods 2006 was one of the games I most anticipated at launch of the 360, then I played it at Zero Hour and just put my head down in disgust.
I think the main problem with those screens is that they have no shadowing or lighting on the crowds which makes them stand out and look awfull when compared to Tiger Woods model. Hopefully its just a case of not haveing them enabled yet so early in development.
Good, maybe if EA puts out enough crappy games people will stop buying them. Doubt it though, human beings have not yet reached that level of evolution.
Mmmmm I believe Tiger Woods was either sick at the photoshoot for this game OR he went to the beach and got a massive tan wearing a paper bag to cover his head.
