Toca Race Driver 2 : Images of the preview version

Toca Race Driver 2 : Images of the preview version

While waiting for the full video of the game to be encoded and uploaded, here are lots of images of Toca Race Driver 2, another very good racing game for the Xbox !
Update : Video online

The images are in widescreen format, not the best one for framebuffer captures. The aliasing you see here has been mostly created by the resizing process on the PC, and is totally invisible on a TV screen.

I'm not totally happy with the video. I've had a lot of problems with my deinterlacing plugin, hence the small slowdowns you may notice from time to time. Sorry about that.

Err... What aliasing? :) I must be blind or something but I think the screens look quite good. Textures aren't the best on the 'box but that shouldn't be a problem when the game is in motion. It runs much smoother than PGR2 so visually Toca RD 2 looks promising. I hope the gameplay is realistic and fun, too. So many car classes in one game is awesome but what if the controls suck? ;)

The controls are excellent. I'll post my full impressions later today, but the game is excellent. Not on par with PGR2 fun-wise, but still a great racer.

Ok. Thanks for the video. The cars seem to be a bit too light, I think. I mean it looks like they are floating on the road and jums are way too big. Don't know if it's just me but it didn't look natural. It makes me think about Sega GT 2002, which wasn't very good racer IMO. However, the sense of speed seem to be better than in PGR2 or Gran Turismo 3.

asdfg @Moonwalker: well you asked if it would work to plug the headphones into a tv. I said that it would work. :P (2 Hours ago)

droezelke First test done with the Switch using Zelda. They could play for 2h 28 minutes on full battery. (13 Hours ago)

Moonwalker constantly too. Man if only that pro controller had a 3.5mm output. Do they finally have that for Switch pro conrrller? (14 Hours ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker It should be a nomal 3.5mm output on my TV yeah. But what b0vril says could be true, sound may not be as clean. So i'll probably go with the hassle. Will be needing to keep the gamepad in the charger (14 Hours ago)

Ian_Nottingham I've been looking for a great movie that's engaging from start to finish.Don't know which one you folks listed to start with though. (14 Hours ago)

asdfg @Moonwalker: Isn't it just a regualr 3,5mm output? Those extension cables are very affordable. If you have usb or optical output then it's another matter. (14 Hours ago)
