Surprise! Alone In The Dark 5 is creeping out from the corner, as Atari sent us this trailer - showing Central Park, where "nothing is as it used to".

It was f*ing great, THX
Manager, do you know who is composer? Jack Wall from Myst 4 Revelation? I love that music.

In before Sath praising(or not?) the music! :p

but yeah the music from this reminds me of the music from .hack//sign and ghost in the shell. Interesting trailer btw.

Cool music, a bit of Ghost in the Shell type.

The game is gonna have like this type of tv show episode were every each save you want to play again it shows you what the story has been so far and what has been going on.

And the game camera is going to have the over the shoulder type.

*ripping the tracks* :P

Very nice..I really like the environment, I've always enjoyed the Alone in the Dark games..anyone have an estimated release date for this game? For a while, it was supposed to come out this year..

It was delayed, March 2008 now. PS3 a little bit later.

Sure it looks nice and it's very dramatic. The bullshot-rating for the trailer is pretty high though. Even if this is supposedly in-engine it's still all shot in really dramatic camera angles and probably has more space for effects and stuff since there really isn't much going on behind the scenes (like AI, physics, interaction and so forth). But yeah, it looks good. Makes me interested in the game to be sure!

This is how they should handle game media, not bombard us with screenshots every week despite the game being ages off. I keep forgetting about this game despite looking forward to it loads (I have in fact liked every entry in the series including the oft-bashed AiTD4), but reminders like this every once in a while is always welcome.

Assassin's creed in contrast is so exploited with media I feel like I already played it. :|

Never liked Alone in the Dark and I doubt this will change, unless they really change the crappy combat from the other titles.

Yeah, gameplay was always the weakest point of the series. But however it was playable. ^^

This game is going to scare the shit out of me. The music was beautiful and epic, but I still like the previous character model of Carnby better. He was more modern looking.

But nonetheless this game is going to be wicked as hell (both literally and figuratively).

Looks really good. :D

As others have said the music is pretty good too.

Well it doesn't sound very original to be honest, but I still like it.

It sounds like composer Karl Jenkins' Adiemus recordings.

I thought the header pic (guy with the razor) was from the club (or something like that) not Alone in the dark?

Eh. Something to play until the next Silent Hill!

I'm not really looking forward to this game but thanks to whoever posted a link to the composer's website. The music is great.

About the game

What's up?
  • MrWhite
MrWhite @AndreasZ94: Na, it doesn't. The initial excitement of coming across vicious machines in the wild that can kill you in one hit washes away once you get even the most basic of armour (1 minute ago)
  • Loakum
Loakum @droezelke: Wolfenstein 2 is on my list of games to play. Just now I'm playing Resident Evil 7, I had since launch. (1 Hour ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz The game is very tightly designed to the point of choking itself, like, is there any real good reason why I can't mount a Sawtooth beyond the game's strict graphics budget? (1 Hour ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz I was expecting something memorable but instead I got a badly beaten Thunderjaw with a smattering of red paint. Disappointed. (1 Hour ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz One particular instance I remember was Redmaw, they bang on about this deadly Thunderjaw for a good portion of the side quest. (1 Hour ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz Because beyond fighting robots the game feels very flat. The world looks amazing but it's like an art gallery, nice to look at and only nice to look at. (1 Hour ago)
  • Tiz
Tiz HZD is a competent foundation for what could be a great series. If the games scope of good design can branch out from robot death matches then we should be in for a treat. (1 Hour ago)
