It's a bit of a rip off of N3 though, I like the water spell at the end of the 2nd trailer.
This bit looked almost CGI like.. perhaps it was :S
i know this is a lowres trailer, but nevertheless one has to wonder why ALL
screens/videos/whatever one sees of ps3 games look very much inferior to 360`s gfx.
lower polycount AND (more noticeable most of the time) far lower texture fidelity :(
it all looks blurry somehow, even when the polycount is almost on par with the 360.
and on top of that they add bloom like crazy so it looks like being shot through a smeared lens...
so, NOT sold ^_^
and yes, i`m a 360 fanboy :)
It's funny how many people are like "eww it's a PS3 game" when in fact it's for both platforms.
DW is more strategic, N3 is just a hack and slah em up.
Well it's coming to the 360 aswell.

judging purely from the graphics i`d guess it was made for the ps3 and the 360 version will be the port. (if the 360 version looks the same)
i just wanted to make the point, that EVERYTHING i saw so far of ps3 stuff isn`t in the least "jawdropping" material. it`s standard or even more often SUB standard for this generation. I don`t expect graphics like in the bullshit videos from e3 2005 - (although when i think of gow... hehe, but i digress) but it should at least be as good - more like: BETTER than - the 360`s, considering all the sony crap about cell super computing, 4d, etc...
not that i believe one word from sony - with their track record in mind, who could :)
but even i expected something better than what they have to offer.
-> the point: i am dissapointed :o/
The 360 has been around for over a year in gamers hands the PS3 only a few months, so you can't expect a whole bundle of AAA titles to be ready for launch.
I understand where you are coming from, but you have to actually think about why this is the case, the PS3 hasn't even got a AAA title out yet so you can hardly compare it's games to the likes of GoW.
But as you said you are a 360 fanboy so it makes little difference either way.
This game could look a whole lot better i agree, but its not the PS3 holding it back, its the developer. (bit of common sense goes a long way)
remember that the devs didn`t just start to develop for the ps3 on release day...
the "first generation" 360 games, although somewhat underwhelming, even were more impressive imho.
and your two examples (motorstorm, fall of man), rather make my point. they look "OK", not great and surely not "system-selling-exceptional", which at this point they should be to rescue sony from its needlessly self-digged grave.
but i will stop now ^_^ this is enough fanboyism for one day ;o)
Regardless of what the majority of un-fans think of DW (and subsequent games by the same devs in essentially the same series - Samurai Warriors and this) they're very very competent and varied games. Koei aren't just gonna suddenly grow to Capcom or Konami's size and afford/have the manpower to make stuff look like Lost Planet/MGS4, and that's partially the reason these games are flogged at reduced RRP. They're still good though, and lots of people enjoy them.
