The 1.03 version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now available on PS4, and it's just in time to do a first test of our own in-house framerate tool, still under very active development but hopefully good enough to give reliable results. So, there it is, a comparison between the day one patch (1.01) and today's (1.03) on PS4.
A quick explanation, each vertical white line means a new frame has been detected. Each transparent line means a frame has been duplicated. A game locked at 30 (29.97) fps would show a perfect mix of white and transparent lines. A larger white line means the game outputs (temporarily) more than 30 fps, and a larger transparent line means it's going below 30. Enjoy! :)
Personally i'll recommend Dead Cells or Enter the Gungeon over a bottom tier rogielike with survival elements. (20 Hours ago)
Below is really hardcore game. It makes you looking in the dark for your lantern each time you die by a trap that is impossible to see. Sometimes you lose like 20 mins until you find it. (20 Hours ago)
@b0vril: As much as i like Red Dead, R* made the pacing for this one too slow. Half the time it felt like i was playing a cinematic. Most side missions felt more interesting than the story. (1 Day ago)
@toelessfoot: that's probably the best way to go. I didn't find the story or it's missions all that great. (1 Day ago)
