It looks like a PS2-title ... Really ...

I mean - bad lighting and so on - you can argument "but it has a lot of action on screen going on" - well, okay. But thats not an excuse for those wrong-mapped textures etc.

I'll say the same thing I say every time someone makes such an asinine comment.

I wish MY PS2 games had looked this good.

Stupid thing to say. It's a 60FPS, fast paced game with lots of stuff going on to boot. For it to look this crisp is a feat in itself. Looks a lot better in motion than in screenshots I suppose, nice lighting effects in the trailer.

yea the first poster should compare this game to Twisted metal black lol

I think someone has forgotten what the ps2 era games looked like....

this game runs on the warhawk engine which is a solid engine for sure

Yeah it was around Crackdown 2's level, graphically, when it was announced. Then again this is 60fps and has a lot more going on than C2 so this is a big step up from that technically. Seems to be a lot of fun too :) Probably worth a buy.

This does not look like a "ps2 game." Don't be ridiculous.

You need to get your eyes checked out, PS2 was a great console with great and advanced graphics for its time, the trailer clearly shows most of the check list features expected of the current gen withing the realm that this is a game where there is alot of multiplayer chaos going on between what seems like more than 16 players online on a map, not the 6 versus 6 you are used to on Call of Duty.

Mac1988 made use of the PS2 as a way to imply that somehow in 2011, FIVE years after the PS3 was launched in 2006 that this game still "looks" like a PS2 game against the images and video evidence.

Why do we have to go online to read such bunk and not see that properly addressed, why do we have to read somebody's opinion of using the PS2 like its a dirty word?

There is no secret that PS2 was designed to battle the not so secret and leaky Sega console projects and whatever Nintendo was going to make way back in 1998 and 1999. Specially considering it was no secret that hardware was pretty much final back in 1999 and Sony was waiting for a engineering process die shrink from .250nm to .180nm

Twisted Metal PS2 version exists, there are plenty of screenshot images online, why does someone have to use the "visual" trick to imply that we are also blind to not believe his posted message?
