It actually does look better on the Gamecube.....
Really also quite disappointing that this game doesn't really look like it's seen any new features other than bikes and online play. =/

Mario kart feels really old by now, the gameplay is the same as in mario kart 64, except for the snaking basically :P (ps. of course i haven't tried this, so i cant comment on the specifics about this game but it's the same with every other freaking Mario Kart game so i'm assuming that this will do few things different)

With the way people BITCH on here about graphics every day I'm pretty sure you'd have to see Mario's pores or every hair in his mustache to satisfy you people
how can anyone but a first time gamer get excited about this crap?
And comparing a game you've seen in motion and actually played, to a few screencaps is hardly a fair comparasion. Look at any next gen game, and I think you'll find all of them tend to look a lot better in motion, than they do in screenshots.
