No, probably just as a hunter. They could make that a plot twist in the game where you get turned into one though. But people would probably be expecting that.

Yes it does look like Splinter Cell. I'm excited for this and think the stealth type of gameplay could meld together very nicely with the horror aspects. The designers say they want the vampires to be scarier and not cool as they have been portrayed lately. They'll move faster than normal humans and you might not be able to tell who's human and who's a vampire. As for playing a vampire, a sentence on the bottom of the 2nd page says you can play as a vampire online and hunt humans.
