Vanquish new images

Vanquish new images

Platinum Games released three new images of the intriguing Vanquish. We will probably have to wait until E3 to see if Shinji Mikami's new game can live up to the man's reputation but one thing is certain, it will clearly be action packed.

this "rock" looks like a part of a destroy(ed)able environment.

I'm liking the look of this, looking very interesting! Can't believe this is running on the same engine as that other terrible game, what was it again?...I forget now. Ach, not worthy of my further attention..

Please don't kill me IRAIPTOIR! ;P

You can even fart while shooting! Only leaves your ass exposed to bullets and lighters.

I can't wait to see it in motion, if this "fast paced action" is a big part of iot and this company made Bayonetta then I have high hopes.

But we will see :)

Well if this is only half as good as Bayo it will be one of the best games this year, and this one doesn't seem to have the (sorry raiptoir) awful character designs that made Bayo so distracting in a bad way at times.

Shooting is quite a bit different but I have high hopes for them capturing a true sense of pulse pounding action.

If there is one thing the industry could use it would be a fresh take on the action shooter genre as by and large it's such a "tunnel vision" genre. Especially considering how many games are in the genre. IMO at least.

Can't wait to see some proper gameplay.

Which presumably means the PS3 port will be a train wreck again.

There's just no excuse for poor PS3 versions now.

I think sega thought they would get away with it the first time. After all the attention though? I figure they got to make sure the port is up to par.

I heard the PS3 is the lead platform or something crazy like that.

yeah ps3's the lead platform this time.. i just hope that doesnt mean it's the 360's turn to suffer the poor port

I'm guessing it's a lot easier to port to the 360 than to port to the PS3, due to the nature of the 360's relative simplicity?
