Trailer Xbox 360 PS3

PlatinumGames finally announced Shinji Mikami's new project, named Vanquish. Nothing much is known so far, but here is the first teaser trailer. The hero looks a bit like a mix between Iron Man and Halo's armor design, but this is a project worth keeping a close look at.

Loving the artwork. Not sure how much (if any) is ingame, but it sure looked pretty impressive.

yeah, i dont get the "iron-man + halo +metroid + half life" the guy looks like the shadow complex guy. almost exactly. right down to the swept back helmet design.

Wait, when did the 9/11 imagery and attack on America go to futuristic Halo setting and character? Are you telling me the aliens caused the destruction with a laser from outer space?

could be interesting, though its a bit dumb that the amour is white. Should be black or gray or anything else military would realistically use.... bit too candy.

This trailer didn't give me anything on why i would want to play/be this char. I mean, he was looking badass, but did nothing badass for the complete duration of the trailer. He merely fired his weapon and was running backwards - not exactly what would expect from someone in some special suit.

Very weak trailer, imo. Still, it looked interesting in terms of art and look.

The HUD is pure Iron Man (and later District 9)

No point in passing judgement until gameplay emerges. Although the 9/11 style imagery is pretty lame.

Also, how much of this is CGI?

It looked like parts were filmed with a shit load of post done on it to make the colours and lighting crazy. If it's all CGI then that's pretty impressive, at least to me.

I'm a huge Platinum/Clover fan. Anything these guys put out tends to be pretty damn awesome. I cannot WAIT to see what this looks like.

Halo + Ironman = F*CKING AWESOME, It's pure CGI but totally looks hot, lets hope graphics and gameplay arent a let down, and god forbid an interesting story

It's the kind of question mocking your obsessive behavior towards Platinum games and Bayonetta.

That being said, I don't know what to think of this game. With no idea how it will play it is hard to get excited. Unlike Versus XIII, which while also being a CG trailer had a known development team and thus known gameplay style, this game has a director who does some wildly varying titles.
