And why is D2 not officially released in the EU yet? I'm from germany and have the game since friday last week. Got it from amazon.de. (no marketplace). I doubt amazon breaks street dates.

I liked the first one, but I didn't finish it, because after defeating the worm I grew tired of the game. Is this game better, or more of the same?
I'd say that Darksiders 2 has more lasting appeal than the first.
Can you guys give us the opening picture of Death from this entry in high res.? It looks stunning and I haven´t seen it till now.

Actually i think it improves on Darksiders 1 in every way except for the story pretty much (well i haven't played through the entire game but so far at least). Sure, it's the same type of game, just more variety added to the combat, RPG mechanics to keep you hooked and some pretty grand visual moments.
I'd say that Darksiders 2 has more lasting appeal than the first.
I've added it with two others as a gallery. They are pretty huge and I didn't tag them so you can use them as wallpaper without the Gamersyde name at the bottom.
All that said, great game.
The game is large, sprawling, epic and filled with a ton of what we classify as "C-bugs" (graphical glitches mostly). There are a couple of areas that are bigger/more tedious than they need to be and a few boss fights that are filled with "was easy for us" type cheap bullshit.
