This is a PSN title...don't you understand that? I can't wait to play with games but it's not available in Japan until OCTOBER, and the worst thing is, Sony has disabled the game sharing option. :(

Its avalible since a few hours when you log into the US store from Germany. 39$

I hope it will not be more than 30€ in Europe but i'll have i anyways! Looks like it's really fun to play.

that is true, but they will also be releasing it at retails on a Blu-ray disc.

Anyway, like you and others have said, it looks great for the scale. The game also seems to be getting some good reviews, and had pretty positive feedback from the people that participated in the Beta. Looking forward to playing it when I eventually get my PS3.

Battlefield 2 looks better than this and it was released 2 years ago, this is just another underwhelming game for the ps3.

My ps3 is currently gathering dust waiting for a game worth playing. :(

ITS A PSN GAME.....its the iquivilent of an xbox 360 arcade game...and frankly i aint seen anything as good as this on xbox live arcade? have you? no, didnt think so

and before you say...oh, its going to be released on blu-ray too...well, xbox arcade games are also released on disc....makes no difference. this is NOT a full retail game....its an "arcade" game, and on disc its a budget title...and for that. its freaking awesome.

i wish earth defense force a game of comparable price looked this good tbh.

Warhawk was supposed to be a regular retail game, but since they decided to scrap the single player part and with the game just being pretty bland they turned it into a psn game.
Sure it looks good for a psn game, but considering the hype surrounding warhawk during the early days of the ps3 this game is looking pretty weak.

Bull, it's a $40 game, arcade titles are $5-$10 big freakin difference. It doesn't matter if you download it or buy it in the store, this is a retail game. The only reason why it's multi-player only is because the devs kept screwing it up and couldn't produce a quality single player experience.

This looks better than Battlefield 2. Battlefield 2 has a very poor draw distance that becomes very apparent when you are driving or flying and the draw distance in this game is huge! There is no fogging in this game at all. Anyone who says BF2 looks better is a retarded fanboys :D

BF2 = long load times even with 1 gig ram, weak LOD, unoptimized graphics engine, too much fogging, variable frame rate and weak draw distance

Warhawk - great draw distance, no fog, 30 FPS locked, great lod with minimal pop ups, great water effects, volumetric clouds, high end dynamic lighting.

these screens dont show how good the game looks, in motion it's a different story

Hurts what? They delivered a solid multiplayer game with lag free 32 player online. It's better to have that instead of a shitty single player game tacked on with a shitty multiplayer game.

BTW Incognito (the studio that made this game) is dead, most employees left and others were dissolved into other Sony studios. So they paid a prices for canning the single player and delaying the game

yeah this looks rubbish. And its expensive. Also this was being used as a flagship title not long ago and it hardly looks anything like one. Seriously this, heavenly sword and lair are all mediocre at best. What the hell happened.

And also pretty much all next gen games look better in motion than they do in screens, it goes for all next gen games IMO

People don't need to play games anymore. They just need raw review scores from EGM/1up to make their decisions.

It hurt the hype around it. Most people I know have forgotten about this game already because it dissapeared off the radar for a while.

Well if they advertise it again, it should get on their radar again. I mean this is not a bad game at all.

It's balanced, has good maps, is customizable, lag free, 32 player online, only $40...

I played 2 or 3 rounds in the beta and had a great time with it, it reminded me of Battlefield 1942 in a good way.

Well not really true, I played the heavenly sword demo and the fighting system was bad. Which is its flaw really, that and its short. And heavenly sword looks amazing, but looks arnt everything now are they?

As for both lair and warhawk I aint a big fan of flying games, there is only so much you can do with them. Combined with the fact it would force me to use the sixaxis which "needs" to be dropped as soon as possible for all our sakes.

There was just so much promise at first with these games and noone really feels it anymore.

yeah I agree with the promise bit especially with Warhawk. It's pretty disappointing they had to drop the single player mode. The original trailer with hundreds of ships flying made it look so epic and exciting...

But anyway sixaxis in Warhawk is optional you can turn it off and use the sticks and the multiplayer is really fun. It's lag free and really balanced.

Have to say that im sure anyone that owns a PS3 must be rather gutted at the moment.
Sony bigged up Warhawk, Heavenly Sword and Lair as huge games and they have all turned out to be flops that are average as best.
Looks like PS3 owners are going to have to wait for Unreal Tourny III and MGS4 to really start making use of their investment...

Just reading on warhawk it may turn out half decent looking at it. I do still feel it could have been much more. You do get the feeling the cost for developing for the ps3 stops it from getting bigger games. Heavenely sword has no excuse for being 6 hours long, it has a full blu ray disc to fill.

Warhawk is not a flop. It is PS3's Battlefield 1942. I am going to go far and say it will be on the best multiplayer games this year on consoles, I mean you really can't beat 32 player lag free online, and more players = more fun.

Heavenly Sword might be short but it still looks fun, to me it's a stop gap until God of War 3 arrives.

Lair is just bomba, Factor 5 needs to stop making games
