Tecmo Koei announced that Warriors Orochi 3 will be released in North America on March 20th and in Europe on March 30th for Xbox 360 and PS3.
THE BEST WARRIORS IN HISTORY JOIN FORCES ONCE AGAIN!
Hertfordshire, January 23th, 2012 – TECMO KOEI Europe announced today that Warriors Orochi 3 will be released across Europe on March 30th 2012 for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system. Warriors Orochi 3 combines the much loved heroes of the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series in an all new story that for the first time also features characters from Ninja Gaiden, Warriors: Legends of Troy, Bladestorm, Trinity: Souls of Zill O’ll and Dead or Alive!
Years after the battle against Orochi, the Serpent King, the heroes of the Three Kingdoms and the Warring States struggle to seize control of the new universe they were thrown into when a new threat arises! A terrible and colossal monster, resembling a serpent with eight heads, casts its shadow across the land and defeats most of the brave warriors.
The ones that survived, assisted by the mysterious Kaguya, travel back through time to save fallen heroes and forge new alliances, collect powerful weapons and build an army so they can have a chance to defeat the terrible Hydra.
But that is not all the help they’ll get this time, as the vortex created by Orochi drags a few more allies to their universe. Dragon Ninja Ryu Hayabusa, Achilles, Jeanne d'Arc, Nemea and Ayane are only a few of the new additions to the 120+ playable character roster!
Warriors Orochi 3 also introduces the bond system, where the bonds between characters can be increased by interaction in banquets, fighting side by side, rescuing struggling allies, and accepting missions. These bonds can influence the storyline, as well as unlock extra attacks and new stages.
In Warriors Orochi 3 players can customise existing scenarios and then share them online for all to enjoy, as well as rate those created by others. Cleared stages from Story Mode or Free Mode can be edited to create unique battlefields, where players can change voice lines and characters, acquire Musou Battlefield Elements in Story Mode and use them to add even more interesting new aspects to their original battlefields.
Other new features of the game include:
• Three-character tag team
• Two-player split-screen co-op
• Two-player online Story Mode and Free Mode. Recruit a playing partner for a stage you have already completed, or respond to a recruitment call from another player.
• Character categories: SPEED, POWER, TECHNIQUE and WONDER, whose warriors can use Spirit Charges.
• New Actions, like:
Dash Chain - smooth transition between movement and combat.
Counterattack - knocking back enemies and rendering them momentarily defenceless.
Support Attack – by pressing the character switch button while being attacked, another team member shows up to provide back up support. If the characters have a strong bond, the support member will sometimes appear automatically.
Switch Combo - switch characters immediately after landing an attack creating an endless consecutive chain of attacks.
True Triple Attack - featuring all three player characters in an aura that repels enemy forces. When the True Triple Attack Gauge is emptied, all three team members will perform an explosive finishing attack together.
problem with such platforms is they will only work with software where they can extract motion data, and having no standards there, they have build support for each individual game. (26 minutes ago)
@MrWhite: gotta untwist those cords (29 minutes ago)
What I want to know is, what if the game glitches? (46 minutes ago)
It's a strange thing. I reckon being tossed around physically like that would help with certain sims, though. If not, yeah, you're projectile vomiting all over the gaff. LOL that would be hilarious. (47 minutes ago)
@MrWhite: I mean, part of the problem I've experienced is when you move without moving. I can feel my head go "Whoa! What's going on here?! I didn't send the signal to move!" (49 minutes ago)
@GriftGFX: Locomotion. Wouldn't that help making your mind believe what its seeing a bit more for motion sickness? (51 minutes ago)
@alimokrane: Sometimes I think you care more about the viewpoint than if the game is fun lol. (1 Hour ago)
