Will you have a slice of Uncharted?

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection arrived at Gamersyde this morning so we didn't lose any time to prepare two videos showing the first two episodes on PS4. Uncharted 3 will obviously follow, just give us a bit of time as we had other plans for today. We'll be live tonight at around 9:30 GMT+2 to show you more of the collection and we'll tell you what we think about the quality of this remaster. We won't be able to tell you if the collection is worth your money though, as the embargo for reviews will only lift next Wednesday.
Update: Just in time for your usual herbal tea, our first Uncharted 3 video along with our two replays (English and French).

Wow it looks better than expected, however the outdated animations can ruin the visuals a bit but whatever, it's a remake. :)

Nice videos! I'm definitely getting this when it's released! Uncharted 2's Chloe Frazer's perfectly shaped hips & ass in full 1080p, 60fps glory alone is worth the purchase!

Wow, It looks great! Way better than i thought! Some animation transitions do look a little old though. Also I was expecting there would be a comment about Chloe's ass. There is even a scene in nepal where they mention her ass.

Downloading now, I've already preordered it on PSN.
Only checked the pics, did they put back the motion blur? This is how it looks like? I know the demos did not have it, though it was present in the original PS3 releases.

Looks better than anything I've seen this gen and obviously I'm not talking technically. Driveclub at its best and The Order 1886 (keep forgetting that game) are marvels but artistically based of these videos the visuals really sing to me. Can't wait to see Uncharted 3.

The climbing animations were the only thing that looked really unatural. I'm glad they completely reworked them in U4.

I hope they make the MP in U4 less bulletspongy than 2 and 3. Somewhere between the TLOU and U2 would be perfect for me.

they're like movies, you'll wanna see em again at some point. but when buying new if you're not interested in the MP like me then its like.. 6 hour campaign aaaaaaand done.

2 and 3 were great and fun but I think 1 was a bit crap.. just shoot the endless hoard of enemies in one area. move to next and repeat.. lame.

I disagree with you guys. IMHO if the game is good it is worth playing. Most games are too similar anyways just different dev and with different character etc ... I will going back to GOW1 and 2 again next month. I hope Sony shows GOW5 in Paris or PS event. As fas as uncharted games goes I like both 1 and 2 yet to play the 3rd one. Really good games not great though but one to have in my collection for sure sometime later

It can be turned on on objects (default), objects + camera or completely turned off.

This game has a code optimised for PS3. I imagine they've had tough time even running the game itself.

That argument only holds if it still looks 8 years old which it doesn't. There is also a day one patch for performance issues and other stuff so it may iron out any deficiencies.

But it looks amazing right now and not for a PORT but as a REMASTER of a game that was optimised for nuanced (shall we say) hardware. A couple years back I would have been among those protesting anything uncharted like with the deluge of TPS games out then but now it's a breath of fresh air to have a game excuse me games, that tell one great story from beginning to end without all this open world game design that's ramshackling its way into every game these days and this is coming from somebody whose favourite game for some eons is the witcher 3.

What sticks out is the snow trail when Drake walks through it. I remember it being good looking in the original. Here it looks like some shaving cream that vanishes in a weird way. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong.

Edit: nope, just checked footage from the original. No shaving cream to be seen. Drake leaves a real snow trail. Better snow effects. Weird.
It's the same. He never actually deformed the snow in uncharted 2. He just left a surface effect. the difference seems to be the luminosity of the surface snow. Seems brighter in the HD collection.
