2K Games released these images of Amped 3 during X05, but it looks like no one was paying attention at the time. As a fan of the Amped series I've been very disappointed by the new arcade gameplay of this game, but maybe the game will find a new market now.

Blim: any news regarding the online mode? Will it be there or is 2k games that stupid and really removed it? It was so fun in Amped 2.

I don't know, I think 2K has the ability to make rock solid games, I think this one just needs some time on the stove.

Personally I think these look better than the previous images released, and if it can convey a great sense of scale and speed at a solid framerate, I can see this being a lot of fun. The gameplay clip over at IGN suggests that it's pretty much the same old Amped, but you just don't crash as easily anymore, making it a more forgiving game for beginners.

You'll still have to fight for the big scores though, so it's certainly not dumbed down. The same team as before is working on it and it looks really smooth. I'm gonna remain cautiously hopeful about this one.

man they ruined this game.... there is no way they should have ANY framerate problems in this game. amped 2 seriously looked better than this, albeit at a lower resolution. if they even had to optimize this thing at all to get 60fps, id go spit on their doorstep and leave a nasty brown bag full of something if i lived close to their offices

Looks ok I guess--Not a big fan..I've always been a huge SSX fan and was a pretty big fan of the Hawk games 'til they started their decline..guess that means the direction of this game is my fault then? :)

Exactly, there is only one screenshot that even mildly gets my attention, and the one in the second row, third picture (right one). Other than that draw distance this game looks like shit.

This really look like Xbox1, really what are they doing with those dev kits, for me this game for the actual generetaion launching on a console of the next generation

Looks like it was made for the first XBOX then just ported to the 360. I could see having that little detail if they wanted to get 60fps, but if they are having framerate issues with that little detail thats pretty bad.

Well, there was some obvious framerate issues present in the trailer they released, but I dunno, the whole thing gave off an unfinished vibe to me. It does seem probable that this was once an Xbox game, but then again I've heard that these mountains are ABSOLUTELY HUGE and that you can basically choose where you wanna go on the fly. On Live it'll be almost like a resort with players going down the mountain and stuff.

Also, customization is taken to a new level, from what I've heard it's more like Top Spin or Saint's Row where you decide the tiniest facial features. Again, from what was said in interviews some time ago.

I just hope they fix the lift grind exploit from Amped 2 though. That and the framerate are my only concerns right now.

Looks like everybody is hating this game.
Well, i dont play snowboard games anyway.
This isnt impressive and this isnt next-gen, but it looks Ok.
Its not sooo bad.

Everybody hates the game because of new gameplay stuff and so on. I think it's good that they try something new and just don't add a few stuff to the next game in the series.
