A chopper? How cool is that? Hopefully the draw distance is higher than the first Crackdown, it'll be needed.

Our Avatar and mini-gun enemy look good in this sandbox envirenmont, but good good, do try to add up some geometry and texture quality in some enemys, ok?!

In a game like Crackdown (2) I'd rather have a hundred or more good looking enemies on screen than a dozen great looking ones.

I agree,in a game like Crackdown(2) graphics its the least thing in my mind while I think they looked great in the first and in this one the gameplay its what makes this glorious!!!

Wow, an Xbox 1 game in HD. Awesome.
What are you even talking about?

To this day there is no game that touches Crackdown in the open world genre so I fail to see where you are coming from.

Or are you trolling?

LOD seems less aggressive than in CD1. Looking good overall. On the picture with the orange armor, it seems the building the Agent is standing on is as high as the agency tower? It would be certainly cool.

I remember seeing an interview a few months back about how the draw distance (among other things) had been increased for Crackdown 2

Well, draw distance was pretty much infinite for Crackdown 1 (not counting animated objects and street lamps), but LOD was pretty agressive. These screens have incredibly detailed distant objects.

I like the look.

Why not may I ask?

It looks beautifull to me,tha fact that the graphics are not hyperealistic or dont have the most impressive textures doesnt make them less impressive and beautifull.
Commented on 2010-02-12 02:00:34
because it's not beautiful? These shots are the best shots they've released of the game so far.. but it merely looks like crackdown 1 in a higher resolution, and crackdown 1 is not exactly wowing the eyes.

Don't get me wrong, i loved crackdown 1, and enjoyed the artstyle.. but the engine wasnt taxing the 360 in any way, shape, or form. I just hope for this one they've atleast ironed out some of the engines weaker aspects... such as traffic instantly vanishing once you turn your back on it.

But it doesnt look beautifull to "you"

If I say Shakira its beautifull and its not to you that doesnt make her ugly or not beautifull.

Crackdown and Ive said it many times I find it more visually appealling than games like Uncharted 2 or Gears.

A matter of taste really Bayonetta its the most beautifull game ever!!
Commented on 2010-02-12 02:28:36
correct.. it doesnt look beautiful to me ...which is why i said "beautiful is not a word i would use", and not "beautfiful is not a word YOU should use".

Whats the problem?
Commented on 2010-02-12 02:41:14
Ok we are now on the phase in wich we didnt said the things we said and we hug and shit!!!

Even though in your comment you said and I quote "Because its not beautifull" and not "because its not beautifull to me"

See the difference?
Commented on 2010-02-12 02:48:41
eerm as i seem to recall you asked me why beautifuls not the word i would use to describe it.. i replied "because it's not beautiful?" - take note of the question mark there fella

Crackdown wasn't the definition of the greatest game(a lack of variety i guess) but there was definitely something quite awesome about it

From the stylish crisp looks to the sheer cool of it all, the game is still cherished by it's many fans and rightfully so

In truth it's something Infamous can't ever be even and it looks to have expanded on the working formula some more with the sequel. No offence to Infamous actually but it's mostly forgotten and that says a lot to me

And of course 4player coop which is great news

And to be fair, most that played Crackdown were more than happy with the graphic quality or was having too much fun to even care

What this LOD means?
Unless they have come up with new meaning ? LOD means level of detail.
Commented on 2010-02-12 06:51:13 In reply to Viginti_Tres
Length/Level of detail (LOD).

The first was quite fun, course the problems I had were with co-op, it was not the draw distance but rather the amount of pausing/hardware lag due to being to far from eachother in the world.

love the Crackdown style, its got its personal look/play/feel, no game will come close to this

Seth and speed run like modes, which also have all of the cutscenes? (2 Hours ago)
  • Seth
Seth @Moonwalker: i know that. But they should have better solution for this. All of the replayability of the game goes right in the shitter in current state. What's the point having score attack..... (2 Hours ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker The beginning is very similar to Dead Space indeed, but i really do like this atmosphere man and that mech part is good looking. (2 Hours ago)
  • Moonwalker
Moonwalker in the review that the cutscenes can't be skipped. An explanation for that could be that alot of loading screens are hidden in these cutscenes, thats what he said. (2 Hours ago)
