Xbox Live Arcade this week

Xbox Live Arcade this week

The Arcade scene gets interesting this week, with the release of the big title Battlestar Galactica and Taitos game Exit. The latter is released on PSP and got pretty good review scores, while the former is very much online based. Images of both titles can be found inside.

I'm gay for Galactica so I foresee a purchase however good/bad it is. They incorporated the Newtonian physics from what I have seen so at least we can pull the awesome strafing manouevers

Might be getting exit. I'll at least try the demo. The battle star galactica game though...no i don't think so. Never liked space combat much.

Next looks pretty cool, it's like what i'd imagine a vector based game that is not flash would look like :P

According the Exit's Xbox.com page it states Exit has 120 levels, instead of 220 as you can read in the above quotation from the press release. Seems more right and accurate with the PSP version, that had about that amount of stages, in mind. Just a heads-up.

When are we going to get Undertow? That game was reviewed by OXM in August but we have yet to receive it. It may be the best XBLA game we receive since it scored a 9.0.

220 levels actually puts me off, I want less!! I think its after playing portal I have fallen for short games in a big way.

You want less for your money lol?

What's up?

GriftGFX I'm not saying it's impossible that another developer would want to do it and would do it justice. That's just rarely the case when a franchise changes hands. (1 Hour ago)

GriftGFX And some of them work at Arkane, so I guess that makes sense. (1 Hour ago)

GriftGFX And that's a pretty baseless statement. Just paging through Mobygames, most of the Half Life 2 staff still works at Valve. (1 Hour ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX They've lost SOME of their key staff. Staff that they can replace as easily as farming out the game to some third party. (1 Hour ago)

  • KORNdog
KORNdog so why does it matter if they make the next one or not? it's like people being excited about rare making a new perfect dark when the people who made perfect dark 1 on the N64 are long gone. (2 Hours ago)
  • KORNdog
KORNdog and the mention of brands being popular is ironic seeing as that's all dev studio's are. valve today is nothing like valve when half life was being made. they've lost all of their key staff. (2 Hours ago)
