Snoopers and I are flying to Tokyo for the TGS in a bit more than 2 weeks now, and we realize (a bit late) that we only have one part time news writer who will be able to post news during the time we are working on the showfloor (and visiting the city of course). This is of couse not enough, so we are looking for new news writers. Here are the job requirements: Knowing the Xbox and Playstation worlds very well, being able to write correctly in english and basic HTML knowledge are mandatory, with knowing how to encode videos and being already active on our forums being very big plus. You also need a lot of free time for the TGS week (September 20 to 25). If you are interested, please send us a sample news (3/4 lines) with your full qualifications to n00b_at_xboxyde.com.

I could encode videos but am no native english speaker. And while BlimBlim is away, I would start encoding in H264

About the reencoding: it's really not hard, and a guide about it could be written by us. It's just that it will probably take 4-5 hours to learn it all, but then it should be fine.

Thats the reason why reencoded videos often look so ... average...
(Not complaining about you here, but it happens pretty often... even here. But then I don't know what the originals looked like)

Of course you're not a master after 4-5 hours, but you know the general stuff. I learn new stuff everyday, and I use more advanced program (or extensions to programs) than a first-user will use.

I'm pretty fit.........no actually I'm not. I can't guarantee you I'd have that much time in September, so I don't think it's right for me to get this "job" as there is a chance I'd dissapoint.
