NG Sigma has quite a few features from the next-gen engines with very good bloom effect, nice motion blurr, nice details...etc. Its not NEX-GEN, but it has a few features to be so. I sure as hell expected more visuals for a sequal. --- |

2007-09-12 19:59:17 In reply to LEBATO (2007-09-12 19:22:29) Posted by LEBATO Graphics are...........just like Sigma, which in turn makes it pretty much NG HD :| WTF? But in all honesty its a late 2008 title. So maybe there could be an improvement come then and we still haven't seen a video of it ? If it only had incredible graphics and didn't make advancements in other areas then it really would be NG HD. I see people say next gen this next gen that. What the hell is next gen? Great graphics and thats that? How about using the power of this hardware to create gaming experiences on a level that were simply out of reach on the last gen machines. That alone should qualify as next gen. Can you imagine the backlash if Halo 3 was the best looking game ever made, but with incredibly small environments crappy ai and not that many enemies to fight and no gameplay related additions? I actually called that when Ninja Gaiden 2 is first shown a lot of people here will be disappointed, but I stated firmly it wouldn't bother me any because I don't get caught so much in graphics nor do I think they are as important as some do. --- |

2007-09-12 20:07:48 In reply to szaromir (2007-09-12 10:14:25) Posted by szaromir IIRC NG and DOAs were published in Japan and NA by Tecmo and by Microsoft in Europe... Now Microsoft is a direct publisher, so that changes things a bit. Posted by Sath NG Sigma is NG HD? hehe nah man, most definitely not. Posted by Optimusv2 hahaha that trains never late =P |

I seem to remember a big MGS logo on the US versions of these games. haha sath its NG HD cause it didn't meet their graphical expectations. Screw the game itself that isn't whats important its all about the graphics baby! :D The best graphics possible out there is what the console wars demands not good games I've just had a revelation :) --- |

2007-09-12 20:14:18 Guess you're right.. my memory must be failing me. I remember the MGS logo in the collection of splash screens, but the logo isn't anywhere on the packaging. I stand corrected. |

2007-09-12 20:28:53 The gameplay is so fast that it's hard to watch. Hard to keep up with. Lots of blood. Bodies getting chopped in half. Ryu pins enemis on the ground, thrusts his sword in, and they explode! Actually, I think the shurikens are equipped as a subweapon. The environments have a lot of destructable elements to them. He's fighting in a fruit stand area, and when the fight ends, all the stands have been destroyed and the fruits are lying on the ground. Chopped up bodies are everywhere. They don't seem to be leaving the scene, at least not initially. --- |

2007-09-12 20:48:59 Regenerative health? Hmm.. not sure I like that.. stands to calm the challenge a little. Guess that's a next gen feature! ;) |

2007-09-12 21:20:01 Yea that regenerating health thing is a bit iffy, but it'll atleast help noobs out a bit and in some cases I'm sure even the more hardcore will appreciate the little health support they do end up getting. --- |

2007-09-12 21:24:11 When I first saw SS the other day I could have sworn that someone was generating false hype by using Sigma screenshots as "NG2" ones. Sigma isn't ugly, and it looks smoother graphically than Too Human, but it DMC4 and HS look better. --- |

2007-09-12 21:37:27 # Easy to play, hard to master: Ninja Gaiden 2’s new auto-healing system featuring semi-permanent damage restored at save points is the natural evolution of the franchise’s distinctive gameplay, and introduces a new twist to managing health. Featuring a newly implemented auto-healing functionality and save point system, as well as an extensive story mode and multiple difficulty levels available from the start of the game, the gameplay is accessible to more casual players and challenging to even the most demanding gamers. --- |

2007-09-12 21:39:37 Well Op we dont know how that auto-regenerating health system works...I might think of it something like Halo, Rainbow Six Vegas...etc., but how are we suppose to take it easy toregenerate our helath during the combat of master ninjas at us. --- |

There are no screenshots like that, but once you play it, you will see from different angles or in-game cutscenes like that. However, thats from NG2, and because its new I don't think NG Sigma is is anything like that anymore...atleast for me. --- |

2007-09-12 23:35:07 Anyone know if MS will have the pre-TGS presser on live? It sounds they'll be doing what they did last year for TGS, but it'd great to see NG2 and LO playable right now. |
