Have I posted my impressions about the Developer walk-through yet?...well, in case I haven't:

Part 2: The scene where they had to jump…

“Be careful…be careful okay…okay here I come…Catch me!!!” Jansen is so cool.

Loved Part 3!!!…the whole interaction/ between Jansen and the Queen!!!
I like his character A LOT! The way he reacts after he knows that she wants to be together with him! It’s so funny and sweet! The whole atmosphere and music was so beautiful!!!...and then he starts talking to himself, saying stuff like "I know I am kinda irresistible, and funny..." Hilarious!!!

Have I already mentioned how much I LOVE the overall mood/atmosphere...ah man, I just can't get enough of the main theme; it's heart-breaking...

some new info taken from Famitsu
- The game is about 40 hours long, 20 hours of which are taken up by event scenes or FMV.
- The MS Briefing portion that Sakaguchi played is the first dungeon.
- The trigger timing for physical attacks can add special properties to the attack.
- Equipment-wise there's only weapon, ring and accessory.
- The encounter rate is low, instead you're supposed to grow stronger from each series of fights.
- The Dream of 1000 Years short stories are just text.
- They're presented in short 5-10 min segments of text with no voice but with BGM.
- There are 34 of these short story episodes in total.
- There will be a world map, with a vehicle to move around in it.
lol at 20 hours of FMV, looks like Xenosaga might just be dethroned. Thanks for killing a portion of my interest in the game. I don't want to play an interactive movie, trick that noise.

^Actually, I think that part was mistranslated. There was an interview with the director of Feel Plus where he stated that the game would have 7 hours of cutscenes, six being in-engine and one being pre-rendered. So yeah, I'm pretty sure that the game is 50 hours long with only 7 hours of cutscenes.

where's that interview btw? I remember reading it too, but can't remember where. Was it IGN?

Well that interview is questionable too. I guess we'll have to wait till it releases in Japan to know for sure. But seriously, if that info turns out to be true, well then, fuck the game. Yeah I said it :p

Well knowing Sakaguchi 20 hours might be right, I reckon Blue Dragon was between 7-10.

It depends how they determine cutscenes, as any moment you don't have control over your characters and they are talking could be seen as a cutscene.

There's no way it can have twenty hours of cutscenes. Seriously. Impossible. No game has ever had twenty hours of voiced cutscenes. Also, considering how this game has multiple voice tracks in it.. I think it would end up being on more than 4 disks that way.

Probably just a miss translation, I imagine he meant that total battle encounters could be 20 hours and cutscenes and moments were characters chat in cutscenes via text (non gameplay moments) could be 20.

So 40 hours in total.

Most JRPGs are full or textual and voiced cutscenes though, infact most are over 50% i would imagine.
