As usual, the Nintendo Switch version of a third party party proves more enjoyable in portable mode than when the console is docked. L.A. Noire indeed looks very similar to the old gen versions of the game when played on a TV, with visible aliasing and some framerate issues. When using the Switch as a handheld though, the game looks pretty good and seems to run a lot better from what we've seen. Although it is clear that Team Bondi's game was not without flaws, we can still recommend it to those who haven't played it and who will favor the handheld configuration to the docked one.

Apparently, 2011 seems to be quite eager to come back to us this week with another pretty big title of that year, L.A. Noire, originally released on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and later PC. Team Bondi's game returns in shiny 4K on Xbox One X and Playstation Pro and we have some gameplay footage recorded on Microsoft's latest console to show you tonight. Enjoy!

Here is a 4K trailer for L.A. Noire showing Cole Phelps investigating a string of murders in 1947 Los Angeles. The bitrate is not as high as on would hope but Rocsktar US doesn't seem to send HQ files to the press anymore. The title will hit PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on November 14 alongside L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files for HTC Vive.

The game will hit PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch on November 14 with specific enhancements for the latter and technical enhancements, new cinematic camera angles and high resolution textures for Sony and Microsoft's consoles plus 4K resolution for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. On top of that, the publisher will launch on the same date L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files for HTC Vive which delivers seven cases from the game rebuilt for virtual reality. Full details inside.

Once again, we have decided to give you the opportunity to catch up on what you may have missed on Gamersyde in the past few weeks. This should keep you a bit busy in December, which is a good thing considering not much is going to happen release-wise. Now is the time to catch one's breath to be ready for the avalanche of AAA titles to come in 2012.

First 10 minutes PC Xbox 360 PS3

Many months after a noticed release on Xbox 360 and PS3, L.A. Noire finally deigns to appear on PC. One would think that the expectation of the players would be rewarded by means other than a quick port with no real value, but unfortunately this is not the case. Players will therefore get the same disgraceful blur effect, some aliasing issues despite it being set to maximum and a framerate locked at 30 frames per second. As if it was not enough, the game is pretty demanding and will not run properly on all computers. We therefore propose a bunch of videos so you can get a better idea of the PC version. Technical considerations aside, the game remains, however, a pretty good success in the adventure genre.

Trailer PC

PC players can now play L.A. Noire in North America and this Friday for Europe. The game comes in a complete edition that includes all the DLC (via a voucher code) plus 3D vision support. The complete edition for consoles will be out next week. Trailer and screens inside.

Images PC

Rockstar has published some screens of the PC version of L.A. Noire. 'The Complete Edition' will be available on November 11th in Europe and on November 8th in NA, and will include all downloadable add-ons and cases.
