It doesn't look too good, the water looks really nice everything else just isn't sinking in at all. The gameplay doesn't look that fun to be honest and the environments I think could look better. Devs need to make their games at 720p 1080p really isn't worth it.

look great though in my opinion graphics wise at least i expected a bit more of the aerial combat though as the cgi promo showed jumping off your dragon onto another one etc...
I like the speed you can kick up with the dragon, but the fire effects look weak, except that there's plenty of it.
It's a huge downgrade - the graphics are only decent now.
Looks terrible.

its got some time until release, but i think these games aiming for 1080p are cutting detail to do it, i dont see the point 1% of people own 1080p tv's
Better to improve the actual graphics, and THEN shoot for 1080p. No sense in having the resolution restrict the quality of the graphics.

The game itself, according to Factor 5, is only 35% complete. According to some of the interviews, they have only been working with 1080p for a couple of months. You can't expect them to have a highly polished game, being shown on the floor, at 35% completion without problems.
They have more than enough time to find out what works and does not work by the time they release this product next year. For the state the game is in now, it is damned impressive.
EDIT:
From an IGN Interview:
IGN: What are your thoughts on 1080p? You're rendering some stuff out at that resolution now, do you think it's necessary for games to be standardized as 1080p and is it doable?
Eggebrecht: First of all, we are not only rendering some part of Lair in 1080p. The whole game is in 1080p native, from front-end to all in-game bits.
We absolutely love 1080p because of the detail that you can see. When we went up from 720 to 1080 I was blown away how much more of the artwork was visible. We started out being true 720p proponents, but since switching over to true 1080p via HDMI a few months ago I can't go back.
