Page 1 2 >>Looks pretty though. If this is real-time, colour me impressed.
Only flaw was it was damn short game. If they get really long career mode and proper live multiplayer modes on this, its going to be gold. Looks friggin sweet allso.
Going to be good summer for racing game fans. Forza2 for thirst of realism and Flatout: UC when you feel like going all nuts and having fun :)
Note that the beautiful blur seen on those objects I mentioned are also possible in-game, it's already used in a lot of games.. best example would be in Just Cause.. but in that game, they used a little too much blur :P
Never played flatout on the xbox 1 i might try this 1 out on the 360 when it release, screens or ok but i rather a ingame footage.
The 360 needs a "rally" game and the countryside maps offer some of that (though their PC game Rally Trophy offered it more truely).
As long as it runs great, looks great and plays like Flatout it's ok in my book. But god forbid it slows down and makes the 360 look bad 1.5 years after its been out then IMEKÄÄ PÖKÄLETTÄ. (a special hello to my countrymen at bugbear).
Burnout Revenge 360 comes to mind in the useless port-jobs department. Dont let this be one of those.
Flatout 2 for Xbox 360 will finally be names FlatOut Ultimate Carnage.
Flatout was such an amazing game, very underappreciated. Now on the 360 with mindblowing visuals! Keep me occupied until Burnout 5.
I'd say Full Auto was closer to Flatout in the handling of the cars and the way you can destroy everything, but Flatout has no weapons thankfully.
What's difference between Flatout and Burnout?
Burnout = City tracks
(btw: at least the drivers look ingame :P)
- 12 cars on race (previously 8)
- 8000 Dynamic objects per. track (stuff you can smash and crash on realisticly. previously 5000 objects)
- Real-time light and shadow effeffects depending on time of day.
- 20000 polygon damage model per car. (previoulsy 7500)
- 5 all new singleplayer game modes and 2 new live multiplayer modes.
Sounds "true next-gen" sequel to me :)
When this comes out I'll give it its deserved due attention.
