The news comes straight from TeamXbox.com, who says that "In the latest issue of japanese magazine Famitsu, Capcom's producer Jun Takeuchi has revealed that Resident Evil 5 won't be ready next year. Since 2010 would be too late for the game to launch, they expect to ship the fifth installment in the Resident Evil series sometime in 2009."

I don't think they are gonna wait til 2009. They have so much time on there hands. If they say 2009 then it should be TBA, so I still think it is coming out next year.

Could be, looks about the right age if RE5 is set 10 years after the original resident evil.

Apparently they are trying for early 2009 but it could slip closer to 2010 if they have any development problems!

Well it will be ground-breaking just like RES 4 when it was released.. so i'm dissapointed.. but at least we know it will be good.. and its something to look forward to o giess//
