Uhm sorry but this actually looks pretty bad... Sure the pics from the replay mode look, but look at the cockpit view ones(witch are probably actual gameplay). If this looks bad, what does that make Forza? I own both GTHD and FM2, and there is just no comparison. Even at such an early state GT looked far superior to Forza. I didn't think it was possible, but they made it look even better in Prologue AND added more cars on the track (twice the amount of Forza).
In a year or two when the final game releases, I think Turn 10 will still be struggling to compete with this kind of visual brilliance when they're working on FM3. Forget car damage. If you grew up with Gran Turismo (like me) and appreciate the beauty of these machines, you know this is where it's at. I can watch the replays in GT all day, whereas in Forza I can't make it through even one.
I hope the developers are going to polish the environments. Judging from the 1080p propably in-game cocpit shots, the environments are looking far worse then in Forza 2 to me, because everything seem to be just 2d, with simple lighting, no HDR effects, no antialiasing. If they are not finished yet, I wonder why they released such bad looking screens. Those screens are bad joke. I do hope they improve it.
IMO, I find rather bad decision to pimp all the cars at maximum and leave just small space for the rest, I would rather go with compact look of the game than play and wait the entire race for wonderfully pimped replay mode.
Talk about Jaggy heaven, wow, those 1080p real ingame shots really do look terrible, i actually cant believe what i'm seeing, it looks much worse than GTHD! I do like the interiors though
