Electronic Arts gives it all and releases screenshots of all their end-2007 games. There's some really good stuff here, and we begin with the very promising Battlefield : Bad Company.

Holy sh t. If these are all actually from gameplay, this may be the "Cleanest" looking game I have ever seen. I mean just look at the textures. Motion blur would only ruin this game.

Based on the trailer of the game found in the forums at this link... I think these look more like target renders, rather than what the game will actually look like. Something fishy is going on here.

The class design is what concerns me most, not single player, or destructible walls and foliage.. and that is what essentially makes it the sequel to MC. There are stories and characters now? Okay, even less like the BF I love :P
I'm not saying it will be a bad game--or even that MC was a bad game. But as a fan of BF2, it's a little disappointing that they're taking the franchise in this direction instead of focusing on its core. DICE has let me down big time in post game support, and with 2142.. which also isn't a bad game but could have been so much more. I hope they're working on winning me back over with the inevitable BF3.

Don't know if anyone has checked out the newest trailer, but it was hilarious. Graphics were nice, could use some polish, but it was explicitly stated to be early gameplay footage.

Sorry, but Shaka is right, but that's because BF has it's own feeling and way of playing it. I'm so gonna play this with my buddy, he's crazy about BFMC2.

I'm really looking forward to this. I hope to get a deep multiplayer. As much as i am enjoying CoD4 Beta, it's still too run and frag, not much teamwork and strategy as good old BF2 (and 2142 of course).
If its not this one, hell then it will be TF2 (i already scrapped QW:ET from my list after playing the beta...)

Anyways, the 'main' Battlefield IP is one of multiplayer only, class based, with vehicles, crappy bots and horrible single player. MC was a 'real' Battlefield game, just not a very good one.
If anything, you should be upset that this is yet another game that takes an IP in a completely different direction, for the sake of sales alone (put a big name on a game). I think this one has lots of potential, but it will be very different from the 'real' Battlefield games.
