ok so that was pretty much the same footage that was posted on here before after the Mass Effect press day, but as for the combat i agree that the guy that demoed it sucked and it looked worst than it is, if you check out the IGN combat vids you will see how much better it looks when someone that knows what there doing is playing it, as for team AI the guys at 1UP on there new podcast just talked about a copy they were recently sent and are playing, and they are very impressed by the SQUAD AI and Framrate. I also agree that there are so many little touches that pull you into the game and make you feel part of the experience, i can only imagine how i'll feel about my squad and story 15hrs into the game :)

Awesome. This game tops my list which is saying a lot with all the great games that have been coming out this fall.

What DC says about Mass Effect is pretty much what I think, so DC is my spokesman now and then. :D

Looks amazing as usual, next month is gonna be awesoe with a fw more games as well, the REAL reason why I bought both 360 and PS3 starts November!

its simplified but i wouldnt say that makes it any less effective, just more user friendly. Can't say thats a negative. I also think you got your analogies backwards.

The visuals, dialog and everything looks great. Just like you guys I was a bit worried about the combat system. The guy from Bioware demonstrating the game was truly bad and that didn't help me feel good about the game. But when I saw another variation of the same fight scene done by another person and they dispatched the 2 turrets and Fist (sp?) without too much trouble, that was re-assuring to know that if you're bad at shooters, you're gonna just die horribly, but if you have some skill, you can make the most of the system that is available in Mass Effect and move on..

I think we'll all really decide on how well the combat system is once we get our hands on the game and/or wait for the First 10 Minutes (tm) from Gamersyde..;)

Yes this was my fear all along, its a shame that I won't beable to play this game because i suck at shooters.

Really looking forward to this game. I have good faith in Bioware, that they'll nail the gameplay again. A shame the footage isn't new, so I won't get the HD version. Still a good Diary, you adressed the possible issues exactly like I felt about them.

My skill with shooters is pretty stunted as well, but I'm hoping that there's more to the story/dialog/RPG portion and the combat is only limited..

I really liked this episode of Gamersyde Diaries. And Mass Effect is THE ONE GAME I'm looking forward to buy next month.

I missed some more unseen gameplay footage though. We saw a lot of you guys discussing the game, but I feel there was not enough shown from the game itself. Sure, BioWare won't give away too much of their new titles (they've never done) and they surely didn't allow you to show more.

Yup, pretty much what he said ;). I've been hearing the latest 1UP podcast too, and the IGN videos and they definitely quell Pipo's and Snooper's worries with the game. Your squad's AI is really good, because at one time Garnett (1up) was almost dead and he let his squad do the work, and they cleared the whole room. Also, they said the framerate was very solid, 30 all the way.

Great Gamersyde, damn Snoopers you talk so fast and get all your details that quick out of the way! Amazing work, great analysis. Great work translating too. And nice location to talk :D.
