Activision has announced Viligante 8: Arcade for Xbox Live Arcade, developed by Isopod Labs and planned to be released this spring. The game is a remake of the classic, featuring 8 player online modes and lots of new content. This seems to be Isopod Labs first project, so hopefully they'll do it good! this game had the best marketing back in 1998. I saw the OPM cover story with the school bus with guns and was pretty much sold on the PSX. I think V8 was the first full game I rented! Awesome game, under appreciated and way better than Twisted Metal. V8 destroys TM!
So there you go, while PS3 fans will have to wait till 2009 for their overhyped car combat game, you guys can enjoy this!

When I saw that ski lodge pic I remembered that I actually rented this game once, I don't remember much else about it.

Bringing this to XBLA is a act of preserving culture! I just hope they don't chance the game too much.
To me Vigilante V8 was direct successor of Twisted Metal 2, which I played so much that my DualShock motors busted. :>

V8 rocks!
Can't wait for it!
"they had the same titles on other systems"
Ha ha ha!
Shenmue? Nope!
Samba de Amigo? Nope!
MSR? Nope!
Power Smash? Nope!
Starlancer? Nope!
Speed Devils? Nope!
Many other good/perfect Dreamcast-Exclusives? Nope!
And don't forget:
Dreamcast & Ps2 Games like Ferrari 355, Virtua Tennis, Grandia II, QUAKE 3 ARENA, Unreal and so on...
The Dreamcast Versions allways better than the Ps2's...
Same on GameCube:
SONIC Adventure 1/2:
On Dreamcast state of the Art.
On GameCube a shame.

if you like that sort of game, fine. i didnt, so, excuse me for expressing my opinion. i was not aware that was cardinal sin. Though, Q3 belongs on the PC imo, furthermore, i persist it is the godfather of the modern FPS. If your good at online Q3, you'll rock anyother FPS.
