Xbox 360 PS3

Sega have sent us a review code of Viking: Battle For Asgard, from the english developers of Creative Assembly. As usual, we took the time to record a lot of gameplay footage, and here comes the first thirty minutes of the game divided in three files. A fourth video will follow quickly, and will showcase the first big battle of the game, which concludes the first island of the adventure. Enjoy !
Update: Fourth part, showing the big battle right at the end of the first island (a bit less than 3 hours of play time), is up.

games looks mediocre to me. reminds me of the mark of kri for ps2. only less disney cartton looking. the way he walks, fights and creeps looks identicle tho.
Apparently U didnt play Viking yet. Please dont compare it to a brilliant MoK. Viking has nothing to do with that game. MoK had awesome animated characters and perfect and unique fighting system. Play both games then judge and compare.

i dont need to play a game to SEE that they are alike in the way the character MOVES. you understand? i never said they played similarly, simply the way the main character moves and looks (very bulky...chubby muscly kinda main character) oh, and mark of kri was terrible.

So you ain't too happy with your purchase it seems? having serious doubts now whether to get it or not. I might wait for a pricedrop or when i can get a 2nd hand copy. What about the enemy A.I. ? Are they really a challenge at all or is that also kinda easy?
There is no AI @ all lol. Going thru 3rd isle right now, playing on hard and its super easy.

Not even the ending battles with the hordes of enemies are tough?

Thanks for the videos, Gamersyde. I had no interest in this game prior to seeing them as I thought it was a dull RTS when I found out it was by The Creative Assembly but, instead, it's turned out to be an action/adventure along the lines of Conan meets Fable. It looks very solid graphically with terrific art design, a good draw distance and impressive lighting effects, although the texture work doesn't stand up to close scrutiny in the cutscenes. The combat looks cool (and gory!) and it looks like there's some large scale battles as well along with platforming sections, stealthy bits and adventuring. I can't wait to play this now... :D

I was just reading the earlier comments about the site ads...
I can't help wonder if they'd make more money if they were better targetted:

Hell yeah long live Quorthon. Bal Saqoth (Starfire Burning Upon the Ice Veiled Throne of Ultima) is working good here as well

Final battle are repetive after the first one. Kill 2 or 3 shamans, advance, kill 2 or 3 shamans, advance etc etc. Not challenging at all. When You die U'll just respawn.....boring.

I was thinking like "Cool, a game about vikings. I wonder if the main character is huge and has a horned helmet and a big axe". He didn't have a horned helmet, which made me a sad panda. But at least he was huge and had an axe.

But then he totally ran up to Stonehenge to refuse a guy his dinner in Valhalla because he wants to learn what Odin wanted. And I came to the conclusion...

That this shit rocks and it's totally viking!
