Gamecock (Website: Gamecocklove.com...err ) had the great idea to release some new assets of Velvet Assassin at the same time as Microsoft's Gamer's day event, so here they are. The game was previously known as Sabotage and will be released this fall on PC and Xbox 360.

The people that made the other Sabotage game must be pissed. Did they have to get lawyers involved to get these guys to change their game name?

Anyone else see faked volumetric lights? I think I see somethign suspiciously ugly in the middle pic. Other wise looks nice. LOADS of glowiness though.

what i dont like about this game is the darkness of most levels. now, in splinter cell where night vision goggles where at hand, its fine. in this game however you have nothing of the sort and have to just stumble your way around figuring out where to go. in the footage the devs where showcasing a while ago, the guy ran into a guard cos it was so dark.

i dunno. i like these sort of games so im all for it. but i dont want it to be unplayable becasue of the night vision-less era mixed with the dark areas.

It remains the only WW2 game to ever catch my interest.

For real?! LOL! But it looks nice, I have to admit. I agree with grandson though. This would be the only ww2 game to catch my interest. I'll have to look into this one.

The lighting in this game is awesome. I remember seeing a video of a light swinging around in the darkness, looked awesome.

Also, would people quit complaining about darkness and things. Am I the only one interested in a game that is realistically dark? I hate it in games where they're doing a cave level or something and it's all lit up, it's ridiculous. Get out of your comfort zone once in a while.

And if something like darkness is gonna put you off a game, then... I don't know what to say. There are outside levels in the game as well, this isn't Doom 4. Anyway, it's an atmosphere choice, not a "I know let's make the game dark for the sake of it" sort of thing.

Sdarts Oh, yeah, I just remembered. Papers, Please does something similar as well. Puts you in an unconfortable position. (8 Hours ago)

Sdarts Spec Ops: The Line does something similar, and I wish more games put you on that spot. Try to make you think: "WTF do I do?" and etc. (8 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts Decisions like that. If the game's story is really good, you actually feel the weight of them and how there's no "win" choice, just worse and even worse choices. Some books and movies try to convey it (8 Hours ago)

Sdarts @bleachedsmiles: Just hypothetical and nothing to do with the game: Do you blow a school full of children where a terrorist is hiding? Or let him go free to potentially kill thousands more innocents? (8 Hours ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts @bleachedsmiles: I can't mention the scene in question without spoiling, but one option was almost impossible and the other was "easy" to do, but the "easy" one was something "monstrous". So values. (8 Hours ago)

droezelke @Sdarts: I don't know. The shooting felt off. It had mouse acceleration, which I hate. Cover wasn't fluid. But I loved the story. I also couldn't stand the voice of Drake in that setting. (8 Hours ago)
