Finally, will say some, Prince of Persia: Prodigy is unveiled through these first screens with an awesome style. Really, it's wonderful, and gives Level 5 a run for its money in the graphical domain. Big surprise for me, knowing this game will be released before the end of the year.

If they made the graphics as detailed as the concept art with the style I think I'd dig it very much, but it just lacks the complexity to interest me visually.

Bullshit. NOTHING on the PS2 looked this good. God of War 2 was one of the PS2's best looking games, and it was still quite the blurry mess.

"next gen" should not be cell shaded! that was last gen attempt to make a game look better than the hardware could support and have room to slack on graphics because it really isnt that demanding. a "next gen" game should push the graphical limits and reallity, this is not even close.

Bullshit again. That's such a narrow-minded view.

imagine if gran turismo prologue was done in cell shading, that wouldnt even be close to what it is now, no one would say that it was a next gen game and no one would praise it.

Gran Turismo might not benefit from cell shading and sweet style, but who's to say a different racing game wouldn't?

Also, we're talking about CURRENT GEN. JESUS!

Because it gave me an impression of Dark Cloud and other games developed by Level 5 with a similar quality and style of graphics.

Nope he's right, although i would say it looks more like Rogue Galaxy than Dark Cloud.

Love the artstyle, like the way that they are going for a unique look.

I think it looks fantastic and all, but I want to see it in gameplay, it this might be my first Prince of Persia title I purchase.

At the first time i didnt like it and was "what the hell is that !"
but now i began to like it.. hopefully the gameplay will be great..

really don't like this art style, the prince of persia games had dark themes and such and now it looks like something my nephew would not even look twice at, they have made such a good franchise so childish now, I am really dissapointed, was looking forward to the next POP too...

I feel the exact opposite, I loved the Sands of Time, but didn't like the games after that, they went for a more "dark" approach, which always feels far more childish. It's just trying to appeal to the 13/14 year old that think it's cool. Harry Potter ran into the same problem.

This looks beauitful. Although releasing it this year would be a mistake, in my opinion. There's far too many other things coming out, I certainly don't think I'll have room for this one.

Funny how when warrior within came people complained that prince went all emo and dark and now that they are back to more "cartoony" approach they complain again. I sure as hell am sick and tired of these "lol realistic brown bloom" games and much rather play one with graphical style like this.

No need, this is completely self contained, a brand new story and a brand new prince.

And Lebato, considering how mind blowing Sands of Time was, just add the fact that the original SoT team is working on this to this delicious batch of screens and the thought of it animating like Assassin's Creed.

The character design on the new prince makes my HEART WEEP with joy, too!

Good sir, for me that actually deserves dying a whole lot more than twice! :D
