Not really digging this. Everyone seems to be hyped about it...I just don't feel it.
Graphics are nice though, but the "stop to be able to shoot" gameplay doesn't suit me and the whole setting just doesn't seem all that appealing.
Nope, not all that excited for this one really.

I know, just not my kind of game I guess. Lol, I remember the old RE with the fixed camera where you'd move to the direction where your character is facing, instead of the direction on the controller...just horrible!
Another "Capcom akwardness fest" called: Dead Rising also has so many of these little annoyances...those little things of which I'll never understand why they need to do it that way...

F'ing gorgeous graphics. But I didn't like RE 4 "stop and shoot" mechanic, felt really unintuitive, so I doubt I'll find this game fun. I could never understand why the developers chose to not let you move while you're shooting, maybe it was their genius idea of making it "survival" in the survival-horror label for the game. I
I guess, this one's only for the RE 4 fans.

When RE 4 came out the devs talked about why they chose the "stop and shoot" mechanic. It was a way for the player to feel tension. It also makes you think about shooting rather than just running around and strafing. If it had strafing or run and gun it would have been a completely different game. All the enemies and thier behaviours have been tuned with this in mind. I personally think this is what makes it different from many 3rd person shooters.
By the way, why hasn't this anybody said this about Deadspace?

Cool, but i wish japanese games would become aware of something known as "strafe". Let us turn with the right stick and move/strafe with the left, PLEASE :)
I know RE has always been like that, but so? You wouldnt defend Diablo 3 if it only had 640x480 resolution just because "its always been like that" :P

The look is as good as what is expected from Capcom but I have to agree that although online co-op raises the bar, the bar would have been set perfectly if we could finally run and gun. I mean they have made the series more action oriented but the stopping to fire slows it down ridiculously. I dunno, that kills it a bit.
P.s. Seems like Chris has found a middle ground between skinny and too buff which is great. Also why didn't they give us the option of choosing a male or female sidekick? I'm not into playing as female characters even if Capcom's girls overall have seemed cooler than other game series'.

Even though you still get mutants and such, the zombies were just a lot cooler than crazy people.
Being outside just ruins the feel aswell, you don't feel trapped anymore.
