Also, couldn't they come up with a better idea for the checkpoints than some ugly smoke trail in the middle of the road. And why bother putting pedestrians in the game if you can't hit them and they just clip right thru your car?!?
NFS Undercover might be a little better, but the early videos of that didn't look too hot either.
I was really looking forward to getting this but have serious doubts after seeing the gameplay video from Leipzig. It's a shame they decided to stay so over-the-top arcade style. The physics for the cars look like crap. Why won't any developer take an arcade racer a little more seriously like PGR. I'm not looking for a sim, just something were it's not just bouncing off walls and twitchy steering. NFS Prostreet made an attempt last year but failed. I think it's starting to look very odd that the graphics look so real and yet the cars handle and move so fake. Again, it doesn't have to be like Gran Turismo or be boring, there's plenty of room in between.

You basically what Need For Speed Underground 2 that game is still one of my favourite games ever if you haven't played it, do so. I would love if the latest need for speed straddled along same lines (gameplay) as NFSU 2 but it seems highly unlikely.
If you dont like it.......dont buy it
for me Midnight LA is a must have game
I loooove this series much more than NFS
