The game has a great use of enviremont shadows & light, and some nice little touches like the dog's fur

Hopefully this one gotta be as good as the first one, it may sounds weird but I had more fun playing DtR then MaxPayne ( in the terms of gameplay mechanism thats it ). On the other hand DtR 2 was uber garbage. Cant wait for some gameplay clips to see how things gonna be on this one.

This is a nice surprise, I quite enjoyed the previous games but I never thought they'd bring the series back.

Yes images is misspelled, but granted this being a French site, the spelling on this site and forums, is generally better, in spelling and grammar, than most US/UK sites.

I think we should applaud Blim and co. for making such a wonderful site, for all of us English speaking folk, who visit it.

Was this game kind of a sleeper hit on the original Xbox?

I suspect Namco saw Chris Redfield and figured that's what they wanted for their remake. A huge mistake as you've obviously spotted the connection. And as the release is slated for Q4 2009, I can see it falling off the radar as far better established franchises are released at the same time.

From the screens it looks pretty generic - nothing you haven't seen in the past 3 years as it looks like F.E.A.R 1! From what I've read in the press release, I can't imagine the slight change in combat mechanics will make that much of a difference to its success.

What's up?
  • Megido
Megido @Doom_Bringer: do you really think one bad review is going to have that much of an impact on a game that has a 91 on metacritic? (11 minutes ago)
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer @GriftGFX: it hurts the developer and sales...are they likely to make another if the game scores bad? Edge sucks (20 minutes ago)
  • GeRaLTo
GeRaLTo @Baleur: 80% of reviews are written by "drones" .Ign, eurogamer, teamxbox, gamespot etc are nothing but companies. Who cares 'bout theirs "reviews" anyway (1 Hour ago)
  • Baleur
Baleur Why are you discussing reviews anyway? When have reviews ever mattered? They are just individual people writing about their individual opinions. Might as well read reviews on music too then, lol XD (4 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX pfft text! we only care for numbers (4 Hours ago)
  • blmbox
blmbox Yeah, but judging by the content of both reviews, Eurogamer didn't particularly care much for the game anyway. They probably only gave it an 8 to avoid controversy - the review sounded more like a 6. (8 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX 6 to 8 split on Eurogamer, which isn't quite as large but still pretty significant. (10 Hours ago)
