Still not convinced on this and this was my most wanted title, Gameplay wise i think it looks bland...People are scrambling to call it the new PGR...Sorry but PGR was a very exciting racing game. Also i expected this to look alot better due to only being 30fps and no advanced physics engine. The lighting looks good but apart from that im struggling to see what i like about it.
Can't say it's getting me excited, Physics look very basic, Especially the first video with the Zonda on part dirt tracks. Unless of course there are a lot of driving aids that can be turned off.
Looks really nice, and the lighting and shadows are amazingly well done...just need to tweak the AA solution to cover those powerlines and we've got some pretty damn flawless IQ. i'll check out the PS+ version and go from there. But the idea of a PGR style fun racer seems like a winner.
If you were a Real Gamer , you would absolutely know that a game with good graphics and bad gameplay is not a good game at all like crysis with bad gameplay ! you wouldn't even try to finish it ! and all of a sudden the graphics and resolutions became the first priority in next gen games . I know graphic is important but not important than gameplay . like driveclub ! they sacrifice gameplay to achieve better graphic (30fps) . I think Forza 5 is way more better than driveclub , MORE BETTER ...
The tracks look good graphically, but also seem very boring to race on, especially with such forgiving physics.
Everyone comparing this to PGR should remember that PGR was so unique because of its challenges ans its city courses.

I'd love a new motorstorm...would have preferred it to this since it was by far my fave arcade racer last gen, but i do like what i'm seeing of this mainly because i do see hints of motorstorm in there in regards to the aggressive "pack" AI. Where you don't get ahead on the first corner and have the most boring race in existence, but instead you're constantly fighting for first. All racers should be like that.

Looks boring, as opposed to what other driving game? The game looks amazing and even better than what they first showed. He even mentioned in interview that its graphically, and performance wise a superior game. I'm sure no one will re-comment once they see it for themselves and play it and realize once again Sony first party has amazed them and has done a racing game for better and original compared to Forza and GT.
Everytime I see this game being played be someone and not in trailer form...I walk away with the word average running in my mind on a loop. It just does not look good. Graphics aren't bad but the gameplay is boring and brings nothing new. The tracks are very unimaginative, the car models are ok at best, the physics look janky...but most of all, its not exciting or even interesting. I come from two "arcade" racers from the previous gen...PGR and Horizon...DC doesn't come close from the looks of it to even begin to match the feeling those games gave the user...its sooo blah looking.
Much better video today, Game defo looks better in the day. My worry is it's going to be bumper cars online like Horizon due to the narrow tracks with no run off.
