And those weather effects look like they could be on par with PGR4's - which still has the best rain to grace a game imo
If this has the same stupid physics as Grid and Dirt then it's all over.
From the graphics it looks just like Grid and Dirt with way too much bloom and blur and the really ugly brown filter.
F1 with a brown filter how stupid is that.
Anyways, I'm sure the game will look great (even with some questionable art decisions), but I'm not too sure about the gameplay sadly.
You know that feeling you get when Valve announces a new shooter and you just know the gameplay will be great? Well, it's the same feeling here, except you just know the gameplay is going to suck, lol.
Dirt got away with crap physics due to all the other things it did well enough, I can't see this game working like that. I didn't care for Grid much at all so I'm really hoping they don't lean too heavy in the arcade racer side of things.

Did you play F1 game on PS3 there's the real rain thing. Come on codemasters you can do better.
" I suspect some sacrifices will have to be made to get the game running at a decent frame rate. 60FPS is probably out of the (guess) question..."
Some games out there has no need to sacrifice anything for a great gameplay.
if it plays as well as F1: champ edition then i'm sold.
The first image, clone of GRID... brigth poor for made the funtion of Antialias and effect of the eyes recent up of sleep.
XDDD
I wait the Demo for make the level of simulation and structure of competitions.
Note: I too wait a dedicated servers mixing the players of Xbox 360, PS 3 and PC. Multipatform with unique servers for more intense competitions with filter of wheel/game controller/keybord.
THey need to really revise the EGO engine for this title, for physics, areo and also going on their shots, looks. This brown, bloom look is just not in keeping. On codies forums, everyone says the same thing. Their response: It's sunny.dusk. Why then would you publish a shot such as this if its not indicative of the std lighting.
Anyway, I'm hoping it will turn good. F1CE was great. Like others here, I question whether codematers will put too much arcade into F1.
i really didnt like the visuals in F1CE.. it had an almost water colour look to it..blurred..it was strange
while i think the visual style of the EGO engine works well for something like DiRT, it really doesnt for F1. the rain screenshot looks good becasue the colour pallet is massively desaturated. but in daylight (image 1) it far too blurry, bright and oversaturated. this is something i think F1:CE got right.
