The 1.03 version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now available on PS4, and it's just in time to do a first test of our own in-house framerate tool, still under very active development but hopefully good enough to give reliable results. So, there it is, a comparison between the day one patch (1.01) and today's (1.03) on PS4.
A quick explanation, each vertical white line means a new frame has been detected. Each transparent line means a frame has been duplicated. A game locked at 30 (29.97) fps would show a perfect mix of white and transparent lines. A larger white line means the game outputs (temporarily) more than 30 fps, and a larger transparent line means it's going below 30. Enjoy! :)

Does that mean you have plans for releasing framerate comparisons for multiplatform titles in the future?

Great work on the coverage.
I don't know what the hell is going on, maybe this happens not only in the states, because I live in China.
Can you provide a comparison video of free gameplay? As far as I felt during the game, frame-rate varies fiercely. Sometimes it even stopped completely during a fight for about 0.1 second or so, too obvious.
Still haven't receive any update yet…
BTW, I like your frame-rate test tool, it seems to be even better than DF's tool.

PS4 version is 1.03.
Because for the consoles Digital Foundry is the only reason i (rarely) visit Eurogamer, and i'd rather never visit that SJW infested site again.
