First 10 minutes Xbox 360

After being released on PSN, Joe Danger had finally arrived on Xbox 360 in a special edition. Things are a tad different this time since Joe Danger: The Movie is only available on Xbox Live. Since Friday, it is possible to buy Helle Games' new title, so we decided to take the Gamersyde helmet out of the closet to put it to good use in four gameplay videos.

Although I must confess I am completely new to the series, I can at least tell you that one thing has changed since the first episode. While the first game only proposed players to ride a motorbike, this sequels aims at offering much more variety in terms of vehicles. Joe Danger may look a bit like Trials HD but don't be mistaken, it is far more accessible. Thus, reaching the finish line is never particularly challenging, which is why unlocking all the different challenges probably won't take you long. Now Joe Danger is not just about finishing the race though, there is some definite challenge in managing to pick up all the collectibles more or less hidden in each level. That being said, once all the levels have been unlocked, the main reason you will have to play them again will be to beat your friends' scores. Another option is to invite three of them in your living-room for some multiplayer action.

Joe Danger is a very colorful game, which also happens to be quite funny, except for the annoying director who keeps telling you what to do, something he can't do without shouting apparently... I said before that beating the game was not particularly challenging, but it really depends on how you play. To finish a race with all the collectibles, without dying once, all this under a certain limit of time is far from being a piece of cake. That's what makes Joe Danger The Movie both fun and addictive, provided you like such games. Each vehicle handles differently, which is both nice and a bit disturbing as you don't always have time to get used to one before you're asked to try something different. Because the game is all cartoony and crazy, and because it's subtitled the Movie, don't be surprised to see tongue-in-cheek references to motions pictures. Now of course, the best way for you to know if the game is for you is to go get the trial version of it.
