Timeshift videos

The first person shooter set in a science-fiction universe, TimeShift, will be available during the month of November for the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. Here, the developers at Saber Interactive explain how, with videos, certain type of gamers (beginner, skilled, pro) will act in a particular situation.

Vivendi awakens abruptly and send us no less than twenty-two painful images of TimeShift, which a playable demo is available on the 360 marketplace since a few weeks. Phew.

Xbox 360 & PS3 images of Timeshift

Vivendi Games had the very strange idea of releasing two bunchs of TimeShift screenshots, one from the Xbox 360 build and the other from the PS3 build. We count on you to find differences between the two (invent them if you don't, we won't mind).

5 images of Timeshift

After last time's impressive screenshots, TimeShift comes back and adds five more to the batch, still under heavy rain. I'm not as seduced as I was a few weeks ago, but it looks fine anyway.
Update: Trailer added.

4 images of Timeshift

Vivendi Games releases four new screenshots of the freshly relifted TimeShift. For those who remember how the game used to look, the difference is quite a shock. We'll wait to try it hands-on before going all crazy about it, but the game sure is way more attractive than before.

Timeshift gets a new look

TimeShift certainly did a have a chaotic development. First announced by Atari for Xbox and PC, then with a barely upgraded version on Xbox 360 and PC by Sierra, the game has now been delayed one more year and will be released in Q4 2007. As you can see with these 5 images, the graphics engine has been totally overhauled and the game sports a much more "next-gen" look.

What's up?
  • blmbox
blmbox Yeah, but judging by the content of both reviews, Eurogamer didn't particularly care much for the game anyway. They probably only gave it an 8 to avoid controversy - the review sounded more like a 6. (35 minutes ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX 6 to 8 split on Eurogamer, which isn't quite as large but still pretty significant. (2 Hours ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Yeah sure, but from what console reviews are saying it's perfectly adequate. I mean I'm sure PC is the way to go, but I sincerely doubt we're seeing a 5 to 9 split score wise or anything. (2 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX not that the Xbox version is "that bad" by most accounts either.. there are plenty of people here playing it who adore it.. but the PC game is recieving higher marks across the board (2 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @SimonM7: I doubt that's true too, if other reviews I've read are any indication. The game was designed around an interface that's not represented on the Xbox.. (2 Hours ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 I doubt PC and 360 scores would differ much in EDGE, they simply don't fancy it. DA on the 360 is fine as long as you like the underlying game. (2 Hours ago)
  • callmekymbo
callmekymbo is DA on the 360 really that bad? I can't run it on my pc so the eggbox is my only viable alternative (3 Hours ago)
