GSY Video Xbox Series X

Microsoft Series S and X can add Auto HDR to older games. Coming from the Xbox 360 catalog, we chose to show you Alan Wake and Mass Effect.

Now that we can record compressed 4K/HDR videos with our newly aquired Shogun Inferno, we had to make sure lossless capture would finally be possible with Amarec. We installed a faster SSD and it did the trick, as proven by the following videos. To show you that Gamersyde is now perfectly ready to reach new horizons, what better games than Forza Horizon 3 running at 60 fps on PC (ultra settings but no MSAA) and Horizon: Zero Dawn running at 30 fps on PS4 Pro.
Update: We've just added a video of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter.
Update 2: A small taste of Alan Wake in 4K.

Remedy Entertainment has confirmed that Alan Wake will be released for the PC on February 16, 2012. It will include both DLC packs The Signal and The Writer, and will cost $29.99 on Steam & EA's Origin ($34.99 for the collector's edition). Some new screens and details can be found below.

If you only own a PC, you must have shed quite a big amount of tears when Alan Wake was announced as a 360 exclusive. Now this should cheer you up as Remedy just officially announced that their game was coming to PC in early 2012. Both DLC are also in the works, whether they will be included or not is yet undecided.

First 10 minutes Xbox 360

The second downloadable episode of Alan Wake was released last Tuesday on Xbox Live for a price of 560 Microsoft Points. Allowing to make a link between the first season and the second one, though we are still waiting for its official announcement, this DLC should not be considered as "the true ending that has been removed from the original game" as some like to claim. The original ending of the game was in perfect keeping with the game's atmosphere and story, and for a sequel to be released one day, it had to end like that. The two bonus episodes have clearly been made for the fans, so they can connect a few more dots and, most of all, understand how Alan is going to prepare his return. It is hard to say more without spoiling anything, but suffice to say that, given how cheap the game is today, you have no excuse for not playing it along with its two featured contents. More twisted than The Signal, The Writer will have you dive into the darkness even more and after completing it myself, I can tell you it is, once again, a very atmospheric episode, floating somewhere in between anguish and madness. Here are the very first 10 minutes of this new chapter, a video you obviously should not watch if you have not played the main adventure and the first free DLC.

The second (and last) downloadable episode of Alan Wake will soon be available to all on Xbox Live as the release date has just been revealed. On October 12, you will be able to spend a bit more time with the now famous writer, and it will only cost you 560 Microsoft points. Needless to say it is a very small price to pay to enjoy some more psychological-thriller action. Images and trailer inside, and remember that it is not a lake, it's an ocean.

As far as I'm concerned, Alan Wake was the best game to be released before summer, which is why I feel so frustrated when I see that the US market did not give it a warm welcome. Today, Remedy released their first downloadable episode entitled The Signal and it is entirely free provided you purchased the game. I'm sure those of you who played through Wake's adventure will not wait to get it. As for the others, I strongly advise you to give the full game a try, after all, better late than never.

The first downloadable episode for Alan Wake will be available on Xbox Live for free on July 27 and today we are shown a very short teaser. The good news is you won't be spoiled at all if you decide to watch.
