The first 10 minutes: Chromehounds

At first announced on Xbox, then canceled, then finally announced for 360, Chromehounds has a rather long history now. Well it's now finally available in Japan and Europe, and even if my full impressions will have to wait until I've played the game a bit more, here are the first 10 minutes of the game, showing a CG cutscene and the full totorial level. More videos in the next few days. The game runs at 60 fps, so do the videos. A powerful PC is required for the 720p version!

Chromehounds images & trailer

Sega released these images of Chromehounds, showing some customization options, together with an impressive trailer. It's for me the first time that I really like the music from this game, as it's a very powerful piece, really sets up the right atmosphere. Hopefully the rest is just as good!

Chromehounds images

Sega has released some more images of Chromehounds, as a part of their series of images presenting new maps. This time it's all about the map Tarakia, which seems to be the same map that was playable at E3.

Images of Chromehounds

Sega has released two bunches of images from Chromehounds - one from their screenshot series of different maps, this time SalKar, and one simple bunch of usual images. They both makes the game look fine, with less and less aliasing for each week.

Images and video of Chromehounds

Sega keeps hyping Chromehounds with new media as often as possible, so it's no real surprise that new images and even a 720p video gameplay are already available. I still don't know what to think about this game...

What's up?
  • Baleur
Baleur Why are you discussing reviews anyway? When have reviews ever mattered? They are just individual people writing about their individual opinions. Might as well read reviews on music too then, lol XD (1 Hour ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX pfft text! we only care for numbers (2 Hours ago)
  • blmbox
blmbox Yeah, but judging by the content of both reviews, Eurogamer didn't particularly care much for the game anyway. They probably only gave it an 8 to avoid controversy - the review sounded more like a 6. (6 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX 6 to 8 split on Eurogamer, which isn't quite as large but still pretty significant. (7 Hours ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Yeah sure, but from what console reviews are saying it's perfectly adequate. I mean I'm sure PC is the way to go, but I sincerely doubt we're seeing a 5 to 9 split score wise or anything. (7 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX not that the Xbox version is "that bad" by most accounts either.. there are plenty of people here playing it who adore it.. but the PC game is recieving higher marks across the board (7 Hours ago)
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX @SimonM7: I doubt that's true too, if other reviews I've read are any indication. The game was designed around an interface that's not represented on the Xbox.. (7 Hours ago)
