As expected DjMizuhara managed to buy Lost Odyssey today, much less expected was that his 7th (yes, you read that right) Xbox 360 would have so much trouble reading the game's DVD, leading to slowdowns during the cutscenes and even crashes... He still managed to capture some videos, starting with this one where you'll certainly recognize the demo area, but with still quite a few tweaks since last year!
Update: Added the second part, with finally some new stuff!
Update2: And here comes the third part, named "City"...
Update 3: 4th part is up, with the definitive proof that DjMizuhara is indeed British!
Update 4: 5th part is online, and a last one will follow later today.

My mind has been blown. Very impressive. Looks like worth a full purchase. Mindblowing graphics. Love the musical score, definitely up there with Nobuo's greatest. The cutscenes are fantastic. I'm right now half through Part 2. THanks loads for the videos.
2 gripes:
1. Random battles still come out of "thin air".
2. Inappropriate dialogue: "Like taking candy from a baby". WTF?! LOL

Wheres pt 6 mr. Blim-master. I crave this game badly, thank goodness its not an 8 month wait like Blue Dragon was. Feb, early 08 will definitely be great. DMC, rumored Ninja Gaiden 2, Too Human. Good time to be an xbox fan

This doesn't happen very often (Last time was with Beowulf), but while watching the 5th video i found myself smiling and almost feeling like i'm about to laugh, because it's so unexpectadly good. The characters are great, the voice acting is great, the cutcene direction and animation have been great too.
I'm overwhelmed, i wasn't expecting this.

hhaha, Im digging the humor here, it has me interested and laughing, i even forgot that i was watching these videos, until they ended haha, now i know im totally into this game, im so stuck on this i wish i could have gone out and buy this game right away lol, but im gonna have to put my exciment on hold haha..

man, the animations are pretty bad, and im not seeing the appeal of the cut-scene direction or voice acting at all personally. i mean, long pauses, cheesey voice work, stupidly loud footstep noises....im getting flashbacks to resi 1 on the psone...lol. i dig the artstyle tho. but man, the main guy seems like a complete twat, its pretty hard to create a completely unlikable character but they seem to have succeeded on that one.

pauses in the voice acting is really annoying... other than that it's decent i guess. the graphics are great. i don't like JRPGs but i might give this one a try....

looks good, voice acting is okay, though definitely not in the league of FFXII...animation is the major gripe, that does look, without any hyperbole, ps2 quality

Character design is pretty gay(I said it!)
Random encounters doesn't float my boat, either. Blue Dragon was OK, but I think I'm totally done now with JRPGs. I don't like most FPS or action games today, either, so there isn't much left for me hah!

-the voice acting IS "voice acting for beginners" levels of awfulness
-the long pauses and overly loud sound effects DO detract from the experience (resident evil anyone?)
-and the main character doesn’t have a single drop of a personality, he's the equivalent of Elijah Wood having a voice like Vin Diesel...it doesn’t 'fit' and he comes across as a completely unlikable character...which isn’t a good thing considering he's the guy you actually control

what in the world, fyi am about 2hrs in the game and well, lets just say 96% of that 2hr has been story unfolding (/me cries)

The long pauses are because you press the A button to continue the story, ie if you are reading the text, so the next bit of audio won't be played until you press the A button.
Kiam becomes more likeable as the game goes on.
Voice Acting is some of the best outside of FF12 and DQ8 aswell.
