Dead Island: Riptide is officially announced with a bunch of screenshots showing that the archipelago has been completely flooded, making survival even more difficult. The city of Henderson and the jungle of Palanai Island will then only be explorable by boat and the weather conditions will affect visibility. A fifth character will join the original cast to face new types of atrocities and mutations. The survivors will often have to defend their base and protect it with fences for example.
Deep Silver today announces first details about Dead Island Riptide.
The survivors of the zombie-apocalypse on the once beautiful island resort of Banoi escaped in a helicopter to the safety of a military ship. When a furious storm hits and the virus suddenly spreads throughout the crew, the nightmare starts all over again, leaving hope drowning in the rising tides. Devastated by a monsoon, the island of Palanai is crawling with new zombie mutations. A fifth character with an all-new skillset will join the team, providing much needed support. Additional multiplayer communication features and brand new hub defense missions will test the survivor’s teamplay skills.
Dead Island Riptide will be released in 2013 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Albert Penello now replied on NeoGAF and said "so excited" and yep, this gets people believing in better specs already, oh boy, haha. (1 Hour ago)
But again, really damn silly of MS to brag with True 4K ever since E3, joking with Sony about it. companies should go with "native 4K" next time, be clear for a change. But I get it, it's marketing (1 Hour ago)
But it remains true what DF says, we don't have the finalized specs, but we had that with NX and PS4P too. Let's not expect too much. (1 Hour ago)
and that's not even factoring in the anemic lineup of games on xbox. crackdown won't sell a £300+ console. no matter how powerful it is. (1 Hour ago)
