Dead Island: Riptide is officially announced with a bunch of screenshots showing that the archipelago has been completely flooded, making survival even more difficult. The city of Henderson and the jungle of Palanai Island will then only be explorable by boat and the weather conditions will affect visibility. A fifth character will join the original cast to face new types of atrocities and mutations. The survivors will often have to defend their base and protect it with fences for example.
Deep Silver today announces first details about Dead Island Riptide.
The survivors of the zombie-apocalypse on the once beautiful island resort of Banoi escaped in a helicopter to the safety of a military ship. When a furious storm hits and the virus suddenly spreads throughout the crew, the nightmare starts all over again, leaving hope drowning in the rising tides. Devastated by a monsoon, the island of Palanai is crawling with new zombie mutations. A fifth character with an all-new skillset will join the team, providing much needed support. Additional multiplayer communication features and brand new hub defense missions will test the survivor’s teamplay skills.
Dead Island Riptide will be released in 2013 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

I've started a new game in Metro 2033 Redux and man, still loving that atmosphere, so good! And the 60fps is lovely. Gonna take some getting used to 30fps in the new one next year. (29 minutes ago)
@Sdarts: Oh the room isn't the problem. Before I made the final decision on the 65 incher I made sure my living room would be OK for it. It was just me being stupid yesterday :) (31 minutes ago)
Even if you have the money, if the place where you're gonna put your TV and the viewing distance should always be taken into account. If you don't have a big room, don't buy a very big TV. (3 Hours ago)
@Moonwalker: If you do any basic research into TVs, you will find out that viewing distance and display size are very important factors when deciding to buy a TV. (3 Hours ago)
difference was barely noticeable. Checked some sites, they recommend at least 1.98m, so i do that, difference was instantly noticeable, lol. The question is, do you want to sit 2m away from a 65''? :P (7 Hours ago)
I have to come back to that about 4K, me and my stupid ass didn't take into account the viewing distance. Stupid me was watching both 1080p and 4K Netflix at like 3.5m away from the 65 inch TV. (7 Hours ago)
