Dead Island: Riptide is officially announced with a bunch of screenshots showing that the archipelago has been completely flooded, making survival even more difficult. The city of Henderson and the jungle of Palanai Island will then only be explorable by boat and the weather conditions will affect visibility. A fifth character will join the original cast to face new types of atrocities and mutations. The survivors will often have to defend their base and protect it with fences for example.
Deep Silver today announces first details about Dead Island Riptide.
The survivors of the zombie-apocalypse on the once beautiful island resort of Banoi escaped in a helicopter to the safety of a military ship. When a furious storm hits and the virus suddenly spreads throughout the crew, the nightmare starts all over again, leaving hope drowning in the rising tides. Devastated by a monsoon, the island of Palanai is crawling with new zombie mutations. A fifth character with an all-new skillset will join the team, providing much needed support. Additional multiplayer communication features and brand new hub defense missions will test the survivor’s teamplay skills.
Dead Island Riptide will be released in 2013 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
I don't know why Cliffy left when LawBreakers looks like exactly the kind of game that he would have made at Epic :D (4 minutes ago)
I think Paragon is their biggest in house project so it's been moving a bit quicker than everything else. (11 minutes ago)
fortnite was announced what? 6 years ago? it was supposed to be one of the very first "next gen" games...granted they never specified which gen. lol (12 minutes ago)
I think the constant development of Unreal Engine counts as being productive too. Heck it's the same with Valve. They are making games. Just not the games people who are complaining want to play. (13 minutes ago)
@KORNdog: Paragon was released as an alpha.. it's already come a long way. They are a bit slow though. I mean.. lord know what the deal w/ Fortnite is. UT is more of a passion project though. (13 minutes ago)
but i guess they make an engine that's used pretty much everywhere. so they don't need to be that productive. kinda like valve having steam. . (15 minutes ago)
tbh epic have slowed to a crawl since they stopped with gears. they seem to be taking forever with everything. even paragon seem to be in perpetual beta mode. (16 minutes ago)
