I might pick this up. I didn't like dead island as a solo experience at all. Thought it was absolute shit. But i'v recently completed the ame with a bunch of work mates and it has been fun as hell. We're all playing a seperate character and there has been genuine co-operation going on. I do hope level, stats and weapons transfare over to this game though, would suck and would make absolutely no sense to start from scratch. Is is a completely new world though? Or have they litterally just filled the old locations with water? Seems kinda lazy if it's the later?

Not enough good games with zombies. Loved the first Dead Rising. Dead Island had more promise but didn't deliver in my mind. I was just bored.

I thought DI was the best zombie game ive ever played besides the first few RE's.I played alone and with friends and had a blast both ways,a bigger budget and it could have been something great though.Cant wait for this one.

Just watched the video over at GT. you can transfer your character across....w00t.

The boat thing sounds kinda lame though. No mention of new enemy types either, which is a must seeing as nothing in the game put up much of a challenge. Boss fights would be awesome too. I guess it's that sort of stuff that seperates the likes of dead island from the awesomeness of borderlands. Dead island has tons of potential, and don't get me wrong, in co-op it was a blast, it just could have been so much better.

The original island was Banoi, it's the same archipelago but, from what I understood, it's a different island: Palanai Island.

Wait, what is this? Is it an expansion or a sequel? 'Cause it sounds like an expansion. Not very clear.

I was under the exact same impression…so I sniffed around, I guess this is a sequel.

I always get a bad feeling when a "sequel" has the exact same characters with the exact same models. This has the rush job stink all over it.

I really enjoyed the game, but I don't think I can forgive Riptide after my game corrupted 18hrs in.

Unfortunately it is a spin-off, not a sequel, but it should still be lots of fun in co-op. Cannot wait.

It takes place RIGHT after the first game, set on the same island, and follows the same cast of characters (that can be transfared across to the new game)....how is that not a sequel?
