Le jeu semble se dérouler sur un damier, et les cartes possédent des zones d'effets!
On trouve aucune trace d'une exclue cube, si ce n'est que la version cube sera en vente le 27 novembre

The open beta test for Sega's PC title, "Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst" has started successfully with more than 100,000 registrants in the first two weeks. The client software was distributed on CD-ROM with Dorimaga magazine, as well as via other channels and had 50,000 people register within the first week. The game is based on "Phantasy Star Online 1&2" for the Xbox, with the character data now saved on the server rather than the local machine, as well as several other large changes. The full service is planned to start at the beginning of July, with plans to transfer character data from the open beta to the final version.
