hmm. so the 360 is harder to develop for than the ps3? *cough*bullshit*cough*

looks like sony's cash got the upper hand this time. ofcourse, assuming this is true. does this game have a huge fanbase?

From Software has recently announced that PlayStation 3 version of Armored Core 4 is almost complete and is schedualed to be released on or shortly after the November 11th, 2006 Japanese release of the PlayStation 3. The Xbox 360 ,according to From Software’s official website translated form Japanese, however has been cancelled. The series producer and From Software CEO Naotoshi Zin stated that this decision was due to a recent contract with Sony entertainment to keep the Armored Core series PlayStation 3 exclusive. This move would easily allow the company to produce Armored Core’s first animated movie through Sony Entertainment. Naotoshi Zin also stated that Xbox 360 system would be to complex to develop for even though they have had the dev kits sitting in their lab for almost a year. Armored Core is still slated to be localized in the United States and Europe by Sega.
because they wanted to make a movie., they made a deal with Sony that as long as the game is exclusive to PS3, Sony will fund the movie through thier studios. Greedy !@$!@$

Maybe what he actually meant was that it would be to complex to port the game over to the 360? Does seem odd that they get a movie deal, make AC4 exclusive and then say the 360 is too hard to develop for, especially when most devs say the exact oposite.

Didnt Op make a thread about AC4 got reconfirmed for the 360 or something? I do and do not care if AC4 comes or not. IF it comes good if not its a shame so I dont care because we got better games that Sony can not even think of getting, Gears of War is one of them, and when I say that title you guys just come up with the best titles for the 360, then you know what I mean.

I heard sony has a deal with From to make sure this game is a ps3 japanese launch title, so they delayed the 360 version, not sure if its true though.

Take it as a PS3 fan altering Wikipedia with false info and this PS3 focus has rolled with it.

if IGN, Gamespot, 1UP does not out something up about these kind of stuff but you find it in a fansite it means its false or its just rumours. Look at how AC was, rumours and all that, and then it got official, same thing with RE5 about it not coming out for the 360 until it got reconfirmed of something that wasent even confirmed it being cancelled. Until I see a official announcement about AC4 being cancelled I do not trust any fansites.

Seems like a sudden surge in bad news about the 360 since the whole Assassin's Creed debacle? :)

Forza 2 suddenly looking like the worst racer on the 360 even some xbox and ps2 games give it a run for its money and somehow not having any of the things it promised like 3D grass, HDR, dust particles, new engine, incredibly impressive shaders etc.

Its almost funny reading gaf all these people making excuses for the 360 (I don't believe the screens are representative of the final game at all and I personally think they are fake), but all of these "well it IS running at 60fps so thats why it looks the way it does crap"

"I don't know what you guys are saying best looking racer ever" "Game looks awesome" I was in shock people were trying to claim it looks good cause it looks like crap.

"60fps 12 cars can't expect it to look better than pgr3" all rubbish its as if people don't understand how powerful the 360 really is I'm nervous about this short turnaround from forza 1 as well, but the 360 is sure as hell capable of producing a racing game at 60fps that blows pgr3 away graphically if it doesn't happen with forza 2 then some other game will have to show them how its done till they act their act together with a real forza 360 game (forza 3), but I think they got it right with forza 2 now its time to see real screens of the game.

Yea I believe I will see the real stuff this tuesday, but it was annoying seeing people attempting to claim how good the screens look when they clearly look like crap. I wouldn't dare buy a 360 racer that looks that terrible.

The most popular one of them all was "Well you gotta see it in motion to judge" Screens that looked THAT bad will look bad in motion too. I'm just hoping they stop the damn teasing and give us some real shots tomorrow.

at the moment its a rumor, but I recall blimblim making a comment that alluded to him beliefeing AC4 was cancelled for 360 before, but waiting for confirmation.
