Since 6819 DaysI always find it unsettling once someone makes the connection even if I don't see it that way myself. The thought that someone is actually offended by it taints the experience a little, and it's difficult to remove it completely from your frame of thought. Loco Roco was also accused of having slave symbolism in it, but I guess that didn't have a group of white guys relentlessly beating them up so much as a yellow blob... doing its.. blobby thing to avoid them.
Me personally, I doubt there's ever the intent, and without that I don't think it matters. You can see racism everywhere if you look hard enough.
